Current driver shafts comparable to UST ProForce V2 7F5

I purchased a Sim last year and was fit into a ProForce V2 7S5 or 7FS. It was between this shaft and a Fujikura Speeder Tour Spec 7.2 in an X flex I believe or might have been a Fujikura Pro Spec 2.0 x flex (it was white on the tip and dark towards the grip so I’m not exactly sure which one it was).  So I was wondering what other shafts out there are comparable but might be a step up. I mostly hit fades with it which is ok but sometimes I like to let it loose and hit a draw. It’s great for ripping it which I like but is there something out there that might be an upgrade?

I should also add I was fit during a demo day at my Dads club with people in line. Since I am not a member I was kind of rushed through the fitting so I’m not exactly sure they picked the right one. It could have al

The Proforce V2 7F5 is an epic shaft for strong swingers. Low torque, tight feel and can take anything you give it. If it fits your swing, there isn't much out there that can improve things. Especially for the price! Several pros played it for years, but as money runs everything on tour, you don't see it much there any more. That being said, the shot shape you are describing leads me to think the feel may be firmer than you like. Most current X flex low launch offerings have slightly higher torque ratings than the V2. They will feel a bit more lively and possibly help with your fading issue.

I’m only curious bc I only hit about 25 balls or so. 6 with 3 or 4 different shafts so it wasn’t an extended fitting session. I don’t have a problem with the shaft. I like it most days just curious if there was something out there that would get me some extra distance like everyone else lol. Thanks though.

If I were gonna guess, I would say you are in the 115-120 CHS range to be fitted into the V2 X flex. I wouldn't think distance would be lacking? I have a 7F4 that I sometimes play in my LTD Pro and I'm now in the low teens. I carry the ball about 275 now on well struck shots. You should have enough distance to play any course in the country. The V2 should also give you tighter dispersion if it truly fits your swing.

That's more a demo than a fitting.   But if you like the shaft don't mess with it.   There is no magic in the newer shafts that can generate "extra distance."     If any tweaking is needed to improve on things, it's not the shaft you should mess with.   I'd try looking at some the things that likely wasn't addressed in that fitting.

Great article! So this is where I am getting a lot of hits. My misses however do seem slightly off the heal which I hate! Although in looking at the club it’s still in the sweet spot. Not sure if you can see the markings but that seems to be a pretty common hit for me.

Not the clearest (foot powder spray would help) but from what I can see, looks pretty good.    Unless there is something 'off' in the numbers relative to your club head speed (ball speed/smash, launch angle, spin, dynamic loft) or the consistency of those numbers (dispersion) - I wouldn't mess with anything.

I missed the part about the demo days, so Stuart's right in that it wasn't really a fitting. As solid as the V2 is, you may be more happy with the 7F4 like I use. It's still a tight shaft, but has a bit more of a "loading" feel when swung. Great shaft at a great price! And like Stuart mentioned, newer shafts have more exotic materials, which mean a much higher price tag. But they don't really offer anything more in performance.
