G425 LST users, what loft are you using?

Are y’all lofting up?  I hear how the 425 launches lower so wondering what loft to play. I plan on putting a ventus black 6x in there. Thanks

I play the same loft I have always played in the Ping drivers. When the G30 came out I was fit into a 10.5 and I have a G425 10.5. I will say I did have the G30 set at small - (-.6* on G30) and I play G425 at 10.5 at standard.

Should be getting it in a couple of weeks. I'll start with the loft my fitter recommended (10.5) and go from there.

9* flat +1* setting

 

I've always had to keep lofted down on Ping drivers in general. 10.5* will give me the most carry, but I pay such a heavy price into the wind....I always loft down......the only 10.5* Ping driver that worked,  into the wind was the OG Rapture

Interesting so maybe most people are going more loft. I’ve always thought to go with the lower loft for more distance but maybe I’m wrong

Most staffers play 10.5* lofted down- Champ

Positive optimal....lofting up closes the face- not many pros like that left miss[rightie]

Oh right, I seem to have missed the part about lofted down. So they’re not really playing high loft after all. I see a couple guys do it but I guess it depends

A lot of guys that play the 10.5 have the sleeve turned down to small or big minus to create the open face look.  I have the 9 LST w/ ventus black, and in the minus settings its a very low launcher.  

 

The SLDR days of "lofting up" are over, the manufacturers have found the right balance of low/forward CG with playable spin.

A low launcher - the Ventus Black is stout.  I wouldn't overlook the stock Ping Tour shaft - great stock shaft.

I like the look of an open face but the 10.5 LST already looks so open that I simply can't imagine the look turned down to the large -

did u ever try out the 10.5?  I’m wondering if a bit more launch would yield more distance. I’m checking out the ping shaft now thanks

Playing the G425 LST 10.5 at standard 10.5 loft with sliding weight in neutral. Tensei Raw Orange shaft.

I just got my new 425 LST 10.5 w/ Oban Devotion 6/04.

Went to the range today, and from what I saw it will stay in the neutral setting for now. 

It will see the course on Sunday.

It definitely looks like mine has alot less loft than my 400lst especially in the flat position. Launches much lower than my 400. I play mine at 10 degrees in flat setting, were I played the 400 at 8.5. Both with tensei pro orange 70tx. I got the 425 as a warranty replacement for my 400 which cracked on the face.

Play the g425 LST and the Max both at 10.5.  Neither one for me is a high or too high of launch!
