I see that the Tensei AV White AM2 are a shaft option with a $14 upcharge.

I think I will ask "my guy" to pre-order me 5-GW with that shaft in Stiff.  I'm normally a Mizuno guy with Steelfibers, but am flirting with Srixons ZX's this season.  I have never given a set of Titleist irons a serious go for the main bag ( never got onto the AP2 bandwagon over the years ) but really like the look and tech of the new T200.

i have heard many people like the white shaft of the Tensi line and the orange.... was thinking of this in the 5 and 6 iron T200.....thoughts?

i was told the exact opposite....

the T200 offset is similar to the T100 but the construction is geared for forgiveness....my pro said the two clubs blend very well, but the T200 is definitely more forgiving and definitely longer due to its construction.

agree

that pro 2 above has NO idea what he is talking about

Well the polymer shouldn't ding up like a aluminum back would.  Pictures look good.  Will reserve judgement until I see them in person and hit them.

Well I got a chance to hit the T200 and the T100s today.  T200 didn't look bad.  Only had 7 irons to demo in left hand.  I hit both about the same distance.  Actually hit the T100s better.  Was catching the T200 a little chunky.  Could probably game the T100s from the 7-PW for sure.  I play 2 degrees upright so not the correct fit.  Need to hit 5 and 6 irons before I decide on which way to go.

I too hit the 7 iron in T100s vs T200, slight firmer feel on the T200 but was more forgiving and faster ball speeds. Still looks incredible at address, I would say think Apex but way less offset. Since the website says same offset in the T100 and T200 this release I am sure the long irons will finally look good as well with minimal offset. Sign me up! I ordered 4-GW T200

Can't wait!!

I had the same experience.  I would love to be able to compare a T100S 9 iron to a T200 9 iron.  The 8 iron down to the gap wedge on the T100S is a one piece forged head I believe - so not as much forgiveness as the 7 iron T100s

Was trying to respond to Jag80 above - obviously did not respond properly.

I have heard true temper has had a hard time keeping up with demand. Certainly based on others comments from TM orders, showing LZ out till oct.

damn. I’m reusing my X7s in my new t100 order. But I’m just getting some stock shafts to put in my other irons to possibly sell. May have to change to PX 6.5-7.0 pending what’s still on back order.

Agree with the above, the new 2021 T200 with AMT S300s has a firmer feel and very forgiving.  Quite a bit of difference in sound and feel from my U500 4I (with Tensei CK Blue Stiff).  Just need to get used to it.  Only hit it off a mat.  Preferred the U500 sole.  Not enamored with either sound and feel of the heads.  All things being "equal" from today's demo placed a new order for the 2021 5-GW T100S.  Better feedback, softer feel, and mat/turf interaction.  0.02.

I’ve been testing and comparing both T100s and T200 this week on random days. Both are great and would be more than happy bagging either club. I think the knock on T200 (from a lot people on this forum) in regards to the back looking cheap and plastic is way over blown in my opinion. Does it look like a blade? No, but these aren’t intended for the blade players. I think Titleist did an excellent job of refining the looks and looks really sleek to me both in the back and at address and way better looking then the previous model. In the end I went with a 5-GW makeup in T100s. I was hitting the 7-iron almost exact same distance and consistency as the T200 with T200 being a few yards longer. The T100s looks at address, feel, and control (as well as the Vokey team assisting developing progressive sole narrative) we’re the deciding factors that won me over. The T200 felt good as well, but I just loved the crisp softer feeling on the T100s.

Hopefully mine arrive in decent time. Tried to keep everything stock as possible including AMT shafts, but hopefully 5-GW (omitting the 4 iron) is not considered custom build and causing further delays. 🙏🤞

This is my opinon as well.  The T200 just keep getting better at what they are, I just think the T100S are what alot of players wanted.  I think the T200 went slightly farther for me too, but T100S was hitting the numbers I wanted.  I get caught up in fittings sometimes and forget the goal is to get the clubs I will enjoy playing with the most, and the T100S offered better feel and sole interaction.  That being said you can't go wrong with either set I bet, and whatever direction people go I bet they will be happy with them.  Also agreed on the plastic back, assuming it doesn't damage easily I don't see the problem with it.  I do think the P790 is the pinnacle of that design style, being all metal, but the T200 is also smaller so compromises had to be made i bet.

After hitting the T100s and T200 for awhile in the hitting bay, I grabbed the P790 off the shelf and set it down. It looked like a big shovel compared to the T100s and T200. In fairness, P790 isn’t targeting the T100/T100s and T200 player. Just an interesting observation after hitting the much smaller Titleist heads.

That’s good to know, I haven’t played or hit P790 for over a year. Wanted to like the P770 but too harsh feeling.  Honestly I think the new t200 are noticeably bigger than the t100 but not in a bad way.

Could Not agree more with you on the P770 - harsh is generous description....hated them coming from P760 at the time

ordered 4 iron in the T200 and the gen3P790 to compete for that slot in the bag

will be interesting to see how those 2 compare and contrast

Hit the T200 again this time with a MMT 90 S shaft.  It was the first time hitting the MMT and I loved it.  Only concern is the 90 might be a bit light.  MMT has a 105, but it is a taper shaft with a .370 tip.  I know the Titleist head is .355, but I believe a club builder can install the 105 shaft if that is the direction I want to go. Unfortunately no one has a 105 shaft to demo.  Other than the weight will the tapered shaft have different characteristics than the MMT 90 S?

 Thanks

The MMT 105 is a taper tip .355 shaft that will fit the Titleist irons. The MMT 90 is a parallel .370 shaft. Having hit both, I very much prefer the MMT 105.

It was really hot to be honest. Too hot for me. I’m a high swing speed high spin player. The launch was slightly lower than the t100 and i was about 10-15 yards longer with the t200. 6 iron launching around 205-210. Look wise it passes the eye test. I would consider gaming the t200 in a 4 iron as well but got it in the t200 utility. The feel is the main difference. I play the mp20 mb and the feel of the t100 was close to as blade as I’ve ever come to a cavity back him the t100. The t200 felt like it was electrocuted off the club face it was so hot. The sound was def different. But look wise at address it looks like a somewhat players iron.

"The t200 felt like it was electrocuted off the club face it was so hot".  LMAO

Why was there no official T200 in hand pics, like the others?

Guess the only T200 model out on Tour is the Utilyty T200, I doubt anyone is playing the 4-GW at all.

You are correct - I had it backwards.  Can you expand on what you liked on the MMT 105 vs the MMT 90?

It’s a slightly lower launching, lower spin shaft. All of which fits my swing better than the MMT 90. I had some balloons with that one, and my dispersion was not as good. The MMT 105 was just a better fit for me.
