It’s a slightly lower launching, lower spin shaft. All of which fits my swing better than the MMT 90. I had some balloons with that one, and my dispersion was not as good. The MMT 105 was just a better fit for me.

Thanks for the feedback.  So far I can’t find any place to try it.

What are people opting for

4 iron to GW + 3 wedges? (52 56 60)

Or

3 hybrid - GW + 2 wedges (52 56/ 52 58)

That is precisely the issue I have with these...

Bunched up in the long irons (as a lot/most sets) and wedges that are so strong that you might need 5 of them (if you count the 43° P a wedge.

I went down to set GW and have a 56 and a 60, mostly because I am most comfortable with those two Vokeys. I doubt you’ll need the 52 coming from the 48 GW, but that is just my experience from it being not enough gap. I would think a 54 sand wedge from a 48 is perfect but they don’t make M grind until 56 and up, so that played into my decision.

At least in the T200 I feel like the long irons have gotten so long that I don't see the need to carry a 4 iron any more. I'd much rather have a hybrid, 5w or even (gasp!) 7 wood to help fill in the top of the bag and then I'd go 3 wedges (52-56-60) in the bottom.

I'm actually excited to see a 48 degree set GW again (my current set is a 50 deg GW) because I have a 60 degree Eye2 wedge that I can't get rid of but makes my gaps awkward right now.... I think Dr -> 3w -> 5w (or 4 hy) -> 5 iron through GW (48) -> 52 -> 56 -> 60 will be better for me and space out my wedges better.

Has anyone compared the new T200 to the Srizon ZX5?

The ZX5s are probably my favorite irons of the past 20 years. I'm a short-hitting relatively low handicapper, and the Srixons are both long & high, and unbelievably consistent for the type of iron they are. So far the reviews of the T200s seem to point to very similar characteristics. The only reason I'm asking is that it seems the T200 looks a bit better in the playing position (to me).

Here you go, Sir.

Blade lengths of the T200 are a smidge shorter than the 718 AP2.

I like the little bit squarer topline of the T200. Gives me confidence. I don‘t like thin toplines and soles.

Swing weight is spot on D2 throughout the set.

Got a Titleist fitter coming to our club next week and excited to grab one of the few slots (cause COVID) and doing an iron fitting.

Anybody done a fitting recently with them and have any thoughts? Assume it will just be 7 iron heads?

Last year when I did my Titleist Thursday fitting they had pretty much every iron head which made the gapping really nice. I was able to hit 5 irons, 7 irons, 9 irons and wedges. Not sure if it'll be the same with yours, but hope it is because it makes the gapping insight is so valuable.

Thanks, I hope so then, that would be great. Particularly with all the interest in combo sets would be great to see the difference at different points in the bag between the T200, T100S, etc.

I'm likely just a straight T200 candidate but would be great to get to see how they compare at various spots in the bag.

From all the Titleist fittings I have done (as of late) 7 iron is the only club that you can play with different shafts and lies, the other clubs are there prebuilt with standard specs.

I ordered a set of the new T200s 5-GW and intend to add 54 and 60 wedges.

while i wait I am actually playing the old version of T200s and to be honest am loving them.  Switched from JPX 919 Hot Metal Pros.  Same level of foregivness as HMP but, for my swing, T200 turf interaction is better.  I have also surprisingly been enjoying the 48 GW.  I figured that GW  would be a bust and I'd just get an equivalent Vokey but its really nice.  Basically an old school PW that I can hit 120 comfortable  but can also hit some 100 yard knock downs when needed.

When I compared the new and old T200 7 irons  - I thought the older T200s actually felt a little softer!  The new version was more consistent distance wise and looks way better.  Good enough for me.  I tried the 100s and while I did like them on good shot  I know that they are just a little too much club for me.  I considered doing an 5-8 T200 and 9-GW 100s combo but my enjoyment of the current, older version T200 swayed me to a full set

Seems like shipping has been delayed on the T200's.

None of the retailers in LA have gotten theirs and an online order of a friend of mine at TGW now also shows "backordered and delayed"

Ordered 7/29, received today, custom all the way around……I did check with them last week via phone and they said my order was delayed due to no Golf Pride Tour Velvet Midsize grips in stock (back ordered)…….I opted for the regular Tour Velvet built to a midsize…….I had to eat the $7 per grip I paid on the initial order, but that expedited the order………hope to hit tomorrow or Sunday……they look great……went from DG 120 to Aerotech Steelfiber i110….in pics below I compared the T200 to my other irons (8 iron), Ping i210 and Wilson Staff Blade to see top line, sole width and length.

I’m regretting not going full T200, as I went combo with T100S. Currently play T200 last year models, and they have been the best irons I have used just don’t love the offset. The new T200 are slightly trimmer and way less offset, so an improvement in my book. I realized I like the confidence I get from a slightly thicker club, and the T100S are seriously blade like in looks, while not nearly as unforgiving the T200 are just so damn easy. Taking stock of my game, the new players distance category seems to be the one that fits me best as I don’t shape shots as much as I need help making the ball goes reasonably straight. Last gen T200 have been in bag all season, and with lessons I dropped from a 6 to a 4.8… they just cover up small mishits so well and give me confidence looking over them.  Played two rounds with T100S 7-GW and not sure I will keep those.

Gapping gets a little tricky on these if you split your combo at the 7-8 slot. Thinking of going 4-7 t200 and bending the 7 one degree weak. Then go 8-w in t100s, all bent a degree weak. Then order the standard t100 gap wedge so my wedge gaps are 45-50-54-58. Anyone else do something similar?

4-6 T200, 7-P T100s, but only bending P to 45 and then 50-54-58 SM8s.
