Is this a crack in my Ping G driver?

I've been hitting the weirdest shots with my driver, so bad that I was wondering if it was cracked. Does this look like a crack to anyone? Or just normal face wear? This is a Ping G LST.

Run your finger nail crossed it and see if it grabs

Looks cracked to me, I think the other trick is submerging the head in hot water and seeing if bubbles come out of it. The increased temp should in theory make the air inside the head expand and it would bubble out of the crack.

I left it in water for about a minute and no bubbles. I've heard a weird cracking noise after teeing off though after I hit the ball and then lean against my driver. I thought it was the shaft in the hosel but now I'm thinking it was the face. 

 

Time to go shopping I guess, "darn". 😀

This happened to me a few weeks ago. Replacement head was shipped out already.

Same here.  I was on the 18th at a local muni earlier this year and me and my cousin heard a weird noise when I teed off.  It felt so wrong off the face as well.  There was def a crack.  Like you said, time to go shopping, hehe.

The answer to this is ALWAYS yes.  Great reason to upgrade 🙂😀

My son had a crack develop in his G in pretty much the same spot.  His driver started flying short and crooked.  He said something was wrong with it and I tried to tell him it was user error but sure, it was cracked.
