Calla Pre-O awash in Apex 21 family irons... why?

Apex 21 Irons

A large number of Apex family irons are available, with most in the Like New or Very Good categories. Here is approximate count for each model:

  • Apex 21 ~ 220 sets
  • Apex DCB 21 ~ 120 sets
  • Apex Pro 21~ 105 sets

That seems like a high number of a current year's models all at once. Any ideas on why this is happening?

Tons of inventory was just added. EPIC line of woods, etc.

This is the initial posting of everything. The quantity will decline quickly and itll all get bought up - guarantee it.

If your question is why so many so soon, the answer is they are cancelled custom orders, cancelled website orders (taking too long to ship/etc), returns from callaway's 30-day play guarantee where someone can trade in an item for another callaway item, etc. Hence why the condition of most items is new or like new or very good.

And really in the grand scheme, that isnt really very many sets.

I thought the same thing. Very puzzled? Right when i ordered 19 APEX PROS  off that site too lol. The reason i went with the 19s though is... i like the look and feel alot better then the 21s pros. Something overall just didnt feel or look right to me. Idk... just my opinion. It is wierd that alot of people dumped them allready though.

Seems early in the cycle for CPO to start selling the current Apex irons, but all good for the consumer.  Prices are a bit high, but these are available for purchase unlike most of the ridiculous waits right now.  Just wish more lefties bought and returned iron sets with Catalyst 100, MMT 105, SF, etc., lol...

I bought an Epic MAX LS new from the online site with the MMT 60 shaft in it.  I returned it after about 2 week.  It looked great.  It sounded great.  But it launched too low for my swing speed.  I currently have the Mavrik SZ and I hit that higher than the MAX LS.  I called them explained the issue I was having and they are giving me a full credit towards a new driver.

Callaway Pre Owned is the best site for

buying current model  Callaway equipment  period.

Find what you like, and buy.

Great selections while they last.

They do run promotions like 30 % off at various time throughout the year, and also have trade in to increase your savings.

I have had nothing but great experiences when buying through CPO.

I assume it has something to do with supply chain issues. Maybe a lot of orders were placed and then cancelled due to extreme delivery estimates?

I bought most of my current bag from Callaway CPO.  The Apex cf-19 irons, the Apex 19 3h, and my Mavrik Subzero 4w.  All purchases have been excellent.  I do generally try to get the "like new" condition.  Anyway, I did see all those new clubs drop and I assumed it is mostly custom orders, cancelled orders...  I really want to get a set of the 21 Apex Pros, but I got another 2 seasons on mine before I will switch.  That is the deal I worked out with my wife, lol.  3 full seasons on a set of irons.

I’m guessing these clubs came from a variety of sources, including returns from people who tried something else while waiting for their shipments. Another big source of clubs on CPO is clubs that were maybe used at one fitting event/demo day. When I got a set of MD4 wedges on theRe a couple years ago when they were still the current model, the grips were the standard grips but in black and said Demo on them, although they still looked brand new.

Kind of bummed they don’t have the X Forged UT 21 on there yet, that was a club I was thinking about trying out.
