I’m still using r11 3 wood along with the original taylormade Mc irons. Using Nike VR wedges also. Think the only club that it’s my bag that isn’t 10+ years is my driver which is a g400. Finally upgrading my irons and woods this month. Playing off 4 and I do feel that the irons are holding me back a little bit on mishits. The 3 wood is still great though but there is definitely much more forgiving options out there for me.

Love to see someone else still playing the original TM MC irons. I scored them off ebay 2 or 3 years ago and love them. Great little set.

I have an Adams fairway from 2010 in my bag.

Still enjoy busting out my Eye 2s from the early 80s a few times a season, too.

I've been playing this game since 2000 and the only tech advances that are significant to me are that drivers are more forgiving and more adjustable and swapping shafts are a lot easier.  Irons have been gotten more forgiving for GI and SGI irons but have been stagnant for players CB and blades.  Even more for wedges since they haven't changed for decades.  The OPs 962s are timeless irons that will keep up with today's irons, even in USGA tournaments these days because its grooves are still legal.

I’m still gaming AP2 712s, my 910 hybrid, and a 2010 Newport Studio Select that will never leave the bag. I didn’t play a lot for 5 years while I was in college, but my AP2s are starting to get some wear marks that unfortunately warrant replacing them.

I love the 712s so much and wish I had 3 more sets to fall back on.

Bridgestone J40 driver, I think is right on 10 years

Mizuno fli-hi 2 iron

Cobra S3 pro irons.

Cleveland 588 tour action 51/56 wedges

Honestly scoring the best I ever have. All my mistakes are my mistakes and would have never been corrected by a club.

Most of my bag is old. I don't change equipment often - nor do I have the disposable income to do so. I would rather spend my money on greens fees. If I am going to purchase a "new" club, it's always something old. In fact, the "newest" club in my bag is an 8 year old Titleist 913 hybrid I picked up last week for ~ $60. I just don't see the need to lay out the kind of money they want for new equipment these days. Very little return on investment, IMHO.

The oldest club in my bag, depending on the day and course is either my Cleveland CG7 Tour irons or the F50 Mizuno 5 wood I occasionally carry. They work fine.

I'm going to look at this a little different.

In the last 10yrs I've had 11 drivers, 7 sets of irons, 8-10 sets of wedges and I can't even begin to count how many putters.

With that said I wish I still had...my Titleist 910 D3 driver or the original Epic, AP2 irons from '14 I think? And my old TEI3 putter. (Sigh)🤷‍♂️

Contents of bag subject to change...frequently

Finding the 21* fairway is seemingly impossible...  hence the paint job.  Got it from our rep, long ago, when I was in the biz.

Putter - 2008 Scotty

Irons - 2009 Mizuno MP68 irons

Fairways - 2010 Mizuno MP Titanium

I've tried and failed to replace the three wood, for years, but it just works, looks great, has a compact package, has excellent turf interaction, and sounds like an amped up persimmon. Finally just leaned in and bought a matching 5 wood late last year.

Does it make me a bad person to play illegal grooves when my friends arent?

Not in wedges but in irons. Currently finishing a resurrection of TM Rac TP MBs from 2006.

I feel a little dirt playing clubs with non conforming grooves...

Amen to your thinking, bro.  I used to use a Titleist 981 until a few years ago; switched to a Titleist 804 forged since it feels better and apart from being forged, it has more perimeter weighting than the 981.  Love the irons and they have traditional lofts.  My playing partners take pride in saying they take a 7i when I need a 6i but I know their new irons have jacked up lofts and in the end the final score is more important.

I also recently changed from my Ping G10 driver to a TM M3 driver since it has a larger sweet spot but I feel that I could work the ball more with the G10; however, I get more yards on mishits with the M3 (and that is a several year old model compared to the latest ones TM has).

My hybrids are also used ebay TM RBZs.  My wedges are also old Cleveland wedges except for a more recent Titleist gap wedge.

I seldom change clubs if they feel good and I feel that practice is the only thing between me playing to a better HI than a 9.

Take care.

Driver: TM M-3 Tensei CK Blue 65 S

I still game:

TM RAC MB's - the ones from 2003

SC 1998 Newport Te13 Xperimental - this is in and out of the bag, admittedly - I'd like to find a new gamer but havent yet.

Vokey 54.10 Oil Can (might move to 3 wedges and put this on the back burner)

Vokey Special Grind 60.V (bought a new V grind to replace this though)

Also an RBZ Stage 2 tour 3 wood and RB11 4/5 wood, but they arent nearly as old.

Love my older stuff, but I am looing to build a new(er) set of irons so I can go back and forth between them.

Not quite 10, but my Ping Anser 4w is about 8 yrs old. Also, I have a few 10+ year old putters that pop in/out of the rotation.

for those who play older irons: do you have them re-grooved, re-chromed, refinished etc... i'm assuming it costs a lot these days.  I tried to get a vokey re-grooved years ago and I was told it wouldn't be conforming if they did and would cost more than its worth.

I haven't had to go that route.  One of the joys of being a club ho is not wearing out your irons.  There is always another set to rotate to.  😉
