Many of the team names are lame.

 

Ko & Kang have the best one....Sister from another Mister.

 

JOHrassic Park is a pretty good one....Tiffany's video was good too....Tiff makes some funny videos....but maybe if she didn't concentrate on being the Jokester on the LPGA...she's have a win and more success on tour.

It's unfortunate on the team's WD....hoping little Grace is recovering well.

I can't believe Lexi would team up with Nasa....Greg J was a poor loop for Lexi when she 1st came out on tour.

Team play is the classical story of "having friends in high places".

 

Aditi Ashok and Pavarisa Yoktuan can save their cards if they retain their current rankings on Saturday.  Jillian Hollis can increase her CME points by almost 20 times.

 

I don't believe it's fair to include a team event in yearend priority consideration; but that's just my own opinion.

The obvious choice isn't always the best choice, it's just hard to not choose sometimes.

I'm all for some good times and team play, but it really bothers me this event counts as an official win on tour.

Once a year is enough for the team event, but it sure is entertaining. Heck of a round by Moriya and Ariya.

 

I thought In Gee and Brooke were toast, but wow, what a turn around. It was nice to see both of them contribute to the birdie run.

 

The matching outfits was too funny. The odds are astronomical.

 

Should be another interesting day today. The weather should cooperate. Cloudy, but no rain in the forecast.

Did notice some teams made effort for matchy-matchy outfits...

e.g.  "Yujeong Son (KOR) and teammate Suzuka Yamaguchi (JPN)"
 

And Lexi & Nasa! (not so, for "Team Jelly")

Getty seems to focus only on a handful of players (not the ones you've mentioned above)

 

e.g. a disproportionate number of photos focussed on "Yujeong Son (KOR) and teammate Suzuka Yamaguchi (JPN)" (i'm guessing due to the 'Kyodo News' partnership with Getty 😃 some focus on Japan players)

Did like the photo of Nasa doing a 'flamingo' 💃🦩 pose during warm-up!

How does pro tennis rank those who excel at doubles vs singles?  

I find these team events very entertaining.   We should do more.  Even a mixed tournament would be good.  (But Grant and Judy should be the announcers!)

I thought Karen did a fine job at the Open. She's a little more dialed back when she's on the course vs. in the booth. It was fun having Terry, Tom, and Karen doing the coverage. 'Familiar voices.

How would we know? She hasn't been seen on the broadcast in ages. 'Really mediocre season up to this point.

 

Looks to be a recent change. She was putting conventionally at Shadow Creek.

I like Tom...he used to be better on the LPGA coverage because he'd say some funny stuff that others dare not discuss.

I think he's had to tone it down in our Pink Shirt PC society.

He's a Euro Gigi Fashionista.

All the gals on the LPGA LUV Tom.

 

There was a previous WRX member from Cali...he was so funny...he was/is a HUGE Tom Abbott fanboy...even had a picture of Tom as his avatar....he also liked Wiesy and SNaP.

There was also another guy from Cali too....he was/is HILARIOUS too.....he used to create and post some REALLY FUNNY Photoshopped pictures.

I have it on my other laptop...he created a picture of Tina looking like the Wicked Witch of the West.

 

Anyone remember these two and their WRX handles?

Was everyone playing golf on Wed & Thurs?....this thread was kinda quiet those 2 days...I'll admit....I decided last moment to hit the links.

 

Because of Covid (price gouging & difficulty finding tee time) I got an annual membership/pass last December....so I'll go play more w/o guilt...because it's "free".

 

With fewer restrictions....tee times (other than the muni's) are easy to secure nowadays...but they haven't reduced the green fees....except for last minute promo pricing.
