I don't understand people.

If they charged $99/club and free shipping, nobody would complain.

At $89/club plus $60 shipping, PXG are rip-off artists! lol

Now that I found a set on the BST here, I have to decide to buy a gap wedge from PXG or a $65 T shirt or $160 pair of shorts....I'm afraid to add them to the cart to see shipping. Maybe they are actually $5 and $100 and the shipping is built in?

No, I think they’ve expanded their range. You want to pay $300 plus per iron, they’ll sell them to you. You want to pay $99 an iron they have those too. That said, I get the shipping cost concern and the shaft up charge. If your swing fits one of the stock shafts, it’s a deal. The MMT works for me, as does the Riptide CB.

I got Gen 1 XF's with DG 120's 5-pw and shaft upgrade was free. I wasn't sure about the PXG grips so i had them sent loose and put my own grips on. I just ordered the gen 4 x driver and paid 30 shipping and once i got shipping confirmation it took 8 days to my door but my club was built in a few days and that was amazing considering other manufactures lead times. I have had allot of golf clubs over the years and I will say I like what PXG has done lately. I dont know how many people come up to me and ask me how I can afford these clubs and I still play gen 1's. I tell them go on there website and order a set as long as you dont want the newest version they are priced extremely reasonable now. I recently saw in another thread that if you call and tell them you dont want the big black box that they mite send it in a standard box and ship it for free so thats a option worth trying. FOR ME pxg just makes clubs that work  and help my game. Ive paid more for other manufactures latest and greatest and been disappointed time and time again. I love the performance, i love the look , i think bob is hilarious and I will likely be a lifetime customer. Now just waiting a couple years until those GEN 4 Black irons go on sale lol........

Two words: Amazon Prime. People hate paying for shipping. Myself included. It wouldn’t stop me from buying these clubs however since they are so heavily discounted these days.

After doing a little more research I called and changed to the Gen3. Even at $149 they seem to be a good deal with the MMT. The consensus is the Gen 2 was the clickiest (if thats a word) or all of them.

Is everyone just ordering on pxg.com or through discount dans?

I initially ordered directly with PXG but then called back and canceled so that I could order from DD instead.  Once I realized I could save the $60 shipping it was a bit of a no brainer for me being that I’m in no hurry for them.  I see it as basically you pay $60 and save about a week on the turnaround time since that means no middle man.  Oddly enough I don’t think DD charged me tax either

Gen2’s….just couldn’t pass them up at that price.  And yes, DD is definitely still selling PXG (unless they stopped in the last 10 days….doubtful)

I ordered from DD. 0311T 5-PW with MMT 80 in stiff. Figured I didn’t need a 4 iron because the lofts are so much stronger than what I play now. Never tried the MMT before and I’m a little worried that it will be too light. Anyone have any experience they can share with these shafts. Saw a couple other posts about them but honestly not a whole lot of info.  I figured they were the more expensive shaft for the same price as the stock TT steel so worse case scenario I could pull them, sell them, and drop in a different shaft without losing money on the deal

How are you guys ordering from DD? Online or via phone? I'm outside of the USA but interested in this deal too just can't see it on their website

In my case I gave them a call and told them what I was wanting to order.  The guy I spoke to said no problem and that he would send me an email with a direct link to an order form.  I completed the order form, supplied payment info, and that was it.  Got an email shortly after that from DD confirming the order and then a couple days later (I ordered over a weekend) I got the confirmation email from PXG with the link to track the order.

DD's is the BEST I've ordered from them alot over the last 5-6 years.  I am dissapointed though as I was told early this year that they wouldn't be selling PXG anymore so ordered Mizuno almost a month ago...and turns out they still do & I missed ordering what I realy wanted for about $160 more 😞 and it was too late to cancel order.

Received gen2 T today.

Hugely disappointed.

Top-line is very thick for a players iron. I thought I received P.

And Feeling is not buttery like my Apex Pro.

Head shape and feeling is like P770. It feels good when hit dead center, not so great elsewhere.

Also I paid $100 for shipping two sets of irons. It was shipped in a regular cardboard box but just black. Two PXG stickers inside. Each head does not have shrink wrap but a bubble cover. Nothing premium to warrant $100 charge. Someone said here that you can call pxg to forgo 'premium' shipping and pay $0 shipping cost, I'd definitely do that.

Agreed on buying Gen3. I am waiting for the $89 gen3 sale and those will be my first pxg clubs. All reviews I have read is that was a large generational leap in their irons for feel and consistency. But I have been 4 or 5 custom sets of gen2 just cannot pull the trigger. Lol

Has this been confirmed? I want to try a long iron out for use as a driving iron but don’t want to pay $30 shipping on a $89 club.
