I'm in Canada, so unfortunately dealer options are limited.  Ordering from the US means duty and tax paid at the border, plus shipping.

I'm suspecting with new lockdowns in China, there won't be any new shipments for quite a while.

I just received an email from one of the few places that I preordered. It says out until August.  WTF?  Are others looking elsewhere or looking into a comparable unit?

I ordered from Crutchfield and haven’t received an email about another delay…but it wouldn’t surprise me if I did get one.

Am I the only one here who bought one and has been sitting on it since late summer/fall? realized my house/garage was too small for indoor swinging. Might put it up for sale or should I use it for range when my course opens up for the spring?

you are not the only one, I had an outdoor setup but Winter in New England ain't conducive for golf. I am redoing my garage to swing in there

Just thought I would post this response from Carl's Golfland regarding my order of the Garmin R10. I ordered it on February 3rd and the ad said, "for an early March release". Naturally, I knew there was a supply chain issue and it would be delayed. So, I reached out on Saturday to see where I was in the queue at this point. They told me that Garmin has updated them that 90 of the ordered units they have will arrive July 1, another 100 on August 7th, and 5 more in October. Because of this massive delay, I cancelled my order and bit the bullet to buy the Flightscope Mevo+ with the Pro Package. Should get that in about a week!

If that’s the case I’ll be moving on to something else.

Weird situation isn't it. Yes a load of products particularly cars are delayed with electronic component shortages around the world.

In my head I'd have thought the Garmin margins on a $600 small purely electronic device would be sufficient that they could swallow even a doubling of some component costs in order to keep the momentum going of an amazing sounding product.

Can't see that anyone has done a tear down, maybe it uses a component that is literally not available in volume at any price. This must be costing Garmin bigly.

Could also be a low(er) margin device to start with. We recently found out that the reason GSPro isn't ever going to get official integration is because Garmin requested a sizeable fee (which both E6 and TGC paid) to get on the device. They might be deriving more of their revenue stream from HTH subs and licensing fees from the other sims, similar to how gaming consoles units are largely loss leaders for dev licensing fees.

So Rain or Shine website says if your under 5 handicap or “near scratch”  you might want to consider other launch monitors.  I m still, somehow, scratch , despite horrible back with a zillion back surgeries……don’t really want to drop 2K on a LM, but 599$ sure.  Given Garmin is in almost every modern aircraft and their experience in this space ……fair to assume future software updates will tighten up the accuracy?  I even see Garmin is considering an update for putting.  Thoughts ?

I play off a 6 and got mine back in November last year - the main use (for me personally) is hitting into a net to get more feedback on shot shape/direction and distance instead of just going off feel off the face as my net is quite close to me and small (spornia net) so i dont see much ball flight

For me its accurate enough with my shorter clubs, but not with driver/3 wood which is why i dont use it with E6 or Home tee hero. Could be indoor swing syndrome as a factor there though, as i hit in a small-ish garage and have put marks on my ceiling lol 🙂

I take results with a slight pinch of salt especially distance as i find that its still about -5% off what id expect my carry distances to be.

Ive actually found shot shape and direction to reflect what ive felt quite decently once ive set it up correctly. Ive shanked a few shots trying different swings and its picked them reasonably correctly lol 😉

hope that helps
