Thanks for the feedback guys, really helpful, I think I'll get one as it means I can practice in the net during breaks at work. It's the shape and direction I need, distances I tend to know, plus I'll mainly be using irons.

There's a global shortage at the moment as apparently there's something in the device garmin struggle to get hold of. So wherever you can

If you want one bad, I would recommend joining some of the Facebook groups and check them regularly.  Seems like one is posted for sale every few days or so.  Get ready to pay around $800, and look out for scammers posting them for ~$500.   Finding one retail is essentially impossible.  I don't think Garmin has shipped any units to suppliers since late 2021, so those are long gone and there is a line of backorders everywhere waiting for more.

It's getting the 2020 Skytrak treatment. Used units were going for the price of new ones or above because the wait time was 16wks.

They called me and said they received some units and I was next on the waiting list. I’m assuming they’re new but maybe they’re returns? I don’t really care as long as it works.

Looks like it was in mid January.

Sound like shipments should start rolling out soon. Playbetter.com sent out an email saying all pre orders and a few new orders would start shipping in a week or 2. Shop indoor golf said they will get about 30 units a month, they will start orders again when they fullfil all back orders. I'm curious how the redesign will affect accuracy.

My initial impression after one driving session with my 7 iron: this thing is awesome! I used it in my backyard hitting into a net and the feedback/data it provides is game changing, to me at least. Being able to see my carry and total distances, launch angle and face angle I was able to make swing corrections on the spot. I’m new to golf so I’m inconsistent and this is going to help me tremendously. 
 

Add in the sim function and I think this is a home run.

Awesome!  I’m getting mine next week. Super excited. I hesitate bringing this to my range because of the attention it might gather. What do you guys do to make it more discreet while on the range?  
As for backyard use do you know if it will work only 6 feet behind the ball?  Everything I’ve heard and read says that 7 feet is recommended.

I had it setup 8 feet behind the ball and had another 8 feet to the net and it seemed to work well. I’m not sure if changing the distances (increasing or decreasing) will alter the feedback?

I've been watching this thing for a while and missed the latest release (everywhere seems to be sold out again) 

I haven't gone through all the previous pages, but wondering if anyone has set this up in a garage/indoor and has any personal feedback?

A bit of an educated guess, but you may not have missed out.  Now that shipments have started there's a good chance they'll be more consistent.

 

Not to be an internet jerk, but there are literally 49 pages of the feedback you are asking for. Pour a glass of bourbon and start reading. I'd recommend joining the Garmin R10 Users Facebook group for some good info also.

Due to the global chip shortage and supply chain issues a lot of manufacturers are being forced to redesign products based on what’s available. Sometimes this can impact cost and performance. Hopefully in a good way!  I guess we will find out soon when this latest batch gets into the hands of consumers.

I’m loving this so far and I’ve only used the driving range feature. I’m going to set up E6 soon to start playing some sim rounds.

The R10's are currently showing IN STOCK at Scheels.com.  Just purchased on with an estimated arrival date of 5/31-6/3.  Fingers crossed.
