SE Michigan instructors

Im figuring that maybe this season is the time to actually get out there get a few lessons to try and fix some of my major swing flaws. 

 

Ive looked around and there are plenty of instructors around but there really isnt any way to tell if they are any good or not. does anyone on SE Michigan know or one they would recommend this isnt going to be too terribly expensive? 

 

Also I think a lot of what I do is pretty common stuff, too inside on the backswing, coming over the top, standing up etc etc I probably just need some basic corrections and fixes to get at least to a point there I have a bit of consistency and a somewhat repeatable swing.

Ben Bockin at GLA.   Very patient, communicates very well and works with what you bring to the game.   Very highly recommended.   I drove over 1 hour to see him and thought it was well worth the drive.

SE Michigan is a pretty large area. What area specifically are you looking in?

Im bringing this back from the dead because I never did get those lessons and its really time now.  

 

Lots of recommendations for Golf leadership academy

         Does it have to be Ben? Hes booked solid for at least a month and doesn't take lessons on the weekends or evenings, I'm 30 minutes from Novi and I work so that doesn't work for me. 

 

Im in Warren Mi so anything good closer?

If you can make the drive to East Lansing, I recommend Leading Edge. They have a great set up and are very friendly.

That's a touch far for me. I actually started with GLA on Saturday so we will see what's what. I was hitting pretty good in the lesson so we will see if it translates to the course.

Who is your instructor?

Nick, he had a spot open up last Saturday so I grabbed it before I could put off signing up for another week. 

 

I assume they should all be good right?

How did the lesson go? Was it just a one off or did you do the package?

 

I did the three lesson package with Nick and enjoyed it, learnt a lot about my game and grew in confidence, found it very different then most lessons I have taken in recent years.

It was good. I did the 3 lesson deal. It definitely helped. Im going to do the 10 lesson pack eventually. Was going to do it this winter but never got around to it and wasn't sure how id practice if I did. 

 

Im definitely going back, im just not sure when at this point.

Yeah I really liked learning a lot about fixing my issues and understanding more about why it all happens, felt like less about trying to get into certain positions, more about feels and being able to correct it. 

Im hopefully going to go to the range few times then ill book a couple of lessons, give myself a chance to shake some rust off. Never worked on driver last year so hopefully can gain confidence with that like I did my irons
