PING G430 - Are They Finally Going Back to a Carbon Fiber Crown?

Take a ping 400max, some new paint, new head cover, and a couple new- no charge” shaft upgrade options.. oh, more turbulators and plenty of dragon fly ish stuff.. and $600 price tag, boom profit!
some will have to wait 6 months though. And ping may increase the price mid cycle as well, so maybe $650

Yowsa I hope that’s not the final product. That thing fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Guess I’m keeping the G400.

Something tells me that picture is heavily edited.  It is very crude and may be representative of the actual club rather than a photo of an actual club.

They photos are edited to black out the background but this is the actual club.

It looks heavily edited to me too... The crown pic looks exactly like the 425, just the neon green added to it. Same thing with the bottom of the club too. If this is the club, it maybe a pass from me as nothing looks different from what I see. Obviously if they drastically changed the sound that may help.

The crown looks different from the G425. There are no raised ridges near the rear of the crown.

Why would Jonathan Wall from Golf.com message this Instagram account and tell him to take it down because the Serial No. was visable if this was a photoshopped version of the G425? They have obviously seen the G430 too and wouldn't be reaching out if it wasn't the real thing.

In the photos above, if that's the real 430, what model is it? LST? SFT? Max? It doesn't say which means it's an edited photo. There's just not enough there to convince me this isn't a chopped up/mashed up picture of Ping's past drivers. Maybe someone does have a great idea of what it looks like, then photoshopped an image together because they didn't want to break their NDA. There's reasons for everything. People will believe what they want to believe.

The "Max" or whatever could also be out toward the toe -- sort of like where Callaway put the word Rogue on its hybrids this year. The photos of the G430 Max 3W that have been posted so far show the "Max" toward the toe. We haven't really seen a picture of the driver from that angle yet, so it's impossible to tell.

I have absolutely no idea, personally. I'm just speculating. Just saying, that seems to me like a possibility.

It's probablyj ust the G430. They change the naming of their middle driver every year: G425 Max, G410 Plus, G400.

Why would PING go out of their way to match the serial number of a random photo shopped driver image? Please read the snip of the message below and simple logic will tell you that these leaked photos are real.

To answer your question, I don't know... Did Ping go out of their way to check it? Or was it a serial number to another club that was photoshopped? I don't know the end result of that conversation. There's not enough there. Did someone on here say they got fired from their job for leaking the picture? If the picture is so classified, why does GolfWrx still have it up on many threads? I promise I'm not trying to be a jerk and play devil's advocate to everything you say, I swear. I've just seen to much ridiculous "golf hype" in my years on here only for something to be not what everyone thought it was because of leaks... I'm just as excited as you are to see, hear and try this new driver out. I'm just not going to take these photos at their face value as I see as many things to not believe it as I do to believe it.

The message says, "Too late, Ping just told me they're already matching the serial number". Why would they even care or try to match a serial number on something completely fake and photoshopped?
