Dunlop tour specials

Does anybody have any information about these or know what year they were made? I can’t seem to find anything related to them online.
 

I’m looking to make kind of a Frankenstein set and my founders have a PW loft of 48 from what I can find, so I was hoping the 9 in this set would be around 44.

Look like sports store type of set. Could be 10-15 years old. Do you know what type of shafts and grips they have?

Below is the picture with the shaft bands, or what’s left of them. Looks to be a victory grip or some sort

I'm not familiar with them but if the Victory grips are original to the clubs then they could date back quite a few years. The shafts appear to be lightweight steel by the shorter step pattern.

I remember a good few fellas at my club having these in the bag during the 80s....mainly UK based. Dunlop use to make some fantastic blade irons, many top tour pros used Dunlop irons through the 60,70,80s....sadly they only do budget now. But they look a sweet looking iron, I'd guess at 1986 time maybe a little before. Enjoy them

No mention of tour specials in my golfworks ID and price book number 3.

 

But they are sure attractive. I'd play 'em!

One way to find out. Mic the shaft where the shaft enters the hosel and also below the first step. The same reading indicates parallel .370".

That works for Dynamics, but in the case of Precision shafts, the parallel and tapered shafts were identical except for the swaging done to the tip of the tapered sets.

 

Unfortunately, the only real way to know is to pull the shaft and check the actual tip diameter.

That is true but the photo above indicates TT shaft labels.

Sure .... introduced in the 70's.
