Ordered a tsi2 with HD shaft. Tsi2 will be going on BST immediately, have no plans to replace my ts2 head. Just interested in testing the HD shaft and putting it up against va drago

Posted in another thread, but going to try here as well. Ordered a TSi3 with AD-HD 7S on a whim. I'm around 105mph SS, pretty quick tempo/transition. Currently playing G410LST (9 degree head set at 8 degrees) and Ventus Blue Velocore 6s. Launch is 13-14, spin around 2100 in that setup. 

 

My question is, is the AD-HD 7s too meaty or will I be fine? Would consider trying to swap for a 6s once the orders are confirmed and we know we're all good via TGW, or via BST after the fact. Thanks!

Ugh. I skipped this deal when it first popped up. Now that I know it's for the fairways as well...

 

Does anyone know if the TSi2 or TSi3 would be a better match to the old m3 fairway?

What you really need is to sell your old M3 and buy a pair of matching TSi3 Fairway Metals.

Unless something wild happens, everyone who ordered the Sim Hybrid last year got it with the shaft they ordered. Wait your time it'll show.

I’m guessing the black is all the old logo DI shaft and there wanting to get rid of the stock. I bet they release a new logo black driver fairway shaft soon to replace.

Generally (not specific to this), even purely stock orders coming from Titleist are taking a while, so we just need to be patient.

Yea the addi 6 black option is no longer free with drivers, but still works on fairway woods. Ive been wanting a TSi2 fairway anyways.

 

So i added 1.5 inch to my fairway 😂. Im going to use the shaft on my driver instead, and cut down a driver shaft i have laying around and put it on the fairway.

 

Does anyone know if Titleist tip fairway shafts ? Or do they cut everything from the butt ?? Im wondering if the profile will be different with +1.5 inch meant to be in a fairway wood...

 It looks like tip trimming instructions for AD DI 6 is 0.5" for fairway woods based on their guide. As far as what Titleist does specifically I don't know. I would think they would follow manufacturer's recommendations. 0.5" off the tip will change the stiffness but I'm definitely no expert so I couldn't tell you how much it changes the flex profile. Someone else more qualified than me could probably weigh in on that one.

FWIW, you may need to swap the adapters - I don't think the TSi fairway and TSi driver use the same one.

I have a TS driver and 4w with the same shaft. Both were ordered without any extra tipping instructions. The fairway shaft is tipped 1/2”.

This is correct. The driver adapter is much longer.

@mjbfyb i ordered my fairway +1.5 inch with intentions of using it on the driver.. i wonder if they would still tip it ??
