I don’t know. Ask Titleist through their website. They are very good at answering these kind of questions rather quickly.

Of course. How will T know that you'll be using the shaft for a driver?

I agree they'll probably tip it.

 

 While I'm no club builder (and could be off on my logic) my understanding is the trimming is done not per head, but per shaft length to maintain a balance point + bend profile that's length appropriate.  Of course, we also associate certain lengths with certain heads/lofts, so as it's a 3 wood that was ordered he'll likely default to tipping it like a 3 wood, regardless of length.  OP would probably have needed to clarify not to tip.

Well what should i do guys lol ?? I cant call them cuz that will bring attention to my order. I cant call Titleist cause theyll just tell me to call TGW.

I'd expect a 6s tipped .05" , being you ordered in a fairway.

I'd sit on it... that's part of the "deal" at this point.  Nothing you can do now.  

 

+ if you haven't been specifically fit into the standard HD, the tipped shaft may be the secret sauce you've been looking for this whole time.

 

Heck, I was wavering between a 7 and 8 and have second guessed myself since ordering.  Not switching, though.

 

Edited again.... AND I think they have a 90 day playability guarantee on customs so you can probably return if it's a bust.

Important to point out only one custom club per year for 90 day playability. Probably come out ahead by just selling outright

At this point the fact they’re all processing is a good sign, instead of being cancelled. These are custom order from Titleist so we won’t get an update from TGW until they ship and we get a tracking number. Processing to me says they placed the order with Titleist. Lead time with them should be around 4 weeks, given the info I just got from my small local golf shop.

You'll get em. Tgw types in an order, sends to Titleist. They're done. Tgw probably gets a monthly / quarterly bill and does the math then.

I'm only showing the black for both fairways is $0. The orange 6 and 7 are only $0 on the TSi3 fairway..

Oh my bad I missed the orange part. You're right, only on the TSi2. 

 

I'm still curious if we get the old or the new 2021 logo for the blacks. I can't tell the logic - no other Titleist dealer (or club manufacturer) is offering this deal so it doesn't seem like this was a "cleanout" type sale, but truly an oversight on their website.

I called TGW to make sure. It sounds like it was an oversight on their website. They said they would make the changes.

If they are aware the pricing was $0 (which clearly they were as it's been changed for a couple of weeks) and have not yet reached out to notify cancellation I can't possibly imagine the purchase won't go through.  That would have needed to be nipped in the bud ASAP if they were going to walk back the orders.  Heck, the fairways are still listed as $0 upgrade!

 

Lead time as quoted is 6 weeks.  My guess is shipping end of August/beginning of Sept.

Sooooo I just ordered a TSi2 fairway 16.5 degree with a black AD DI 7S…why? No reason. Haven’t played a Titleist wood since 975D days. Guess I’m just a ho and weak for the shaft upcharge free. 
 

curently gaming (longest club that’s been in my bag by far) a taylormade aeroburner 5W with a ADDI 7S and love it…don’t even know why I’m trying another fairway lol
