Older Titleist blades w/ offset like 620mb?

Does anyone know which older Titleist MB irons are close to looking like the 620mb as far as offset goes? The 716 and 718 surprisingly has a good bit. Out of the older 670 680 690 695 710 712 714 which one is more like 620mb behind the ball? Thanks

I have been looking at some older blades as well to have as a fun set to play from time to time and have basically found the 716 and 718 were based more heavily on Adam Scott's preference of more offset (680). I think the older 710-714 will be more similar to the 620 although I don't think the sole design will be as modern. The 712 is satin finish as opposed to chrome if that matters.

Pretty much none, 620 MB has very low offset for Titleist blades. Closest you'll probably get is 681 with its constant offset of .08" (2mm).

I tend to hate offset in my blades and went looking for the least offset version I could find going back to the 710s. The 712s were the clear winner for my eyes when taking address over a ball. I don't know if the specs back up what my eyes are seeing, but I have both the 712s and a set of 690s and the 712s look like straight razors compared to the offset in the 690s.

You can always take out offset by bending the irons weak.  That's what I do with my 712s.

I do the same. Have my AP2’s bent 2 weak. I also used to have a guy who would bend the offset out. Charged $120 a set. I emailed him last week but he never responded back.

Thanks, at least I can eliminate the 690’s.

Exactly what I was thinking.  681's or the mid/late 90's tour models.  1994 I believe.

I bought a set of 681 irons, 2-PW. Not the T. We’ll see how they look when they arrive. I like the idea of the offset being constant. I’ve always hated the way once you get past the 6 iron they start looking ridiculous.

681 might suit you. But they have some in the short irons.  especially 9-pw. 680 - offset 690- more offset. especially in the long irons.  Weird looking to me to see a blade 3 iron with a goose neck.

You’d probably like the ZB at address. Clean low offset.  Rounder toe

fpr older still. Find a set of tour models or custom grinds from 91-94.  Really no offset. No bounce and no topline.  Lol.

I need a bit of bounce. My guy emailed me back finally, so if the short irons look bad, I can send them to him to have it bent out. Hopefully I can stand everything and just reshaft and go play.

Offset across the set is .080". OEM on those are with dowels in the shafts, about 2" of hickory. 681's and T's are great clubs. Good luck.

Yeah I’m curious about the hickory dowel. Never messed with that before. Idea behind it is logical.

Well I’ve finally played a few rounds with the 681. They feel great. Very pleasing crack at impact. Short irons do look odd, but strangely it didn’t bother me once I got them on the range and course. The swing weight is a bit on heavy side. The S300 shafts still in there. Trajectory was pretty normal for me. High flight and had a bit more draw than normal with the extra spin from S300’s. I like the 681 irons. Going to put some KBS Tour V in them once they come off backorder from GolfWorks.

Just to update: The offset in the short irons of 681 proved too much for me to look at and couldn't get my KBS shafts due to supply chain. I sold them in Dec. I then bought a set of 620mb's and haven't looked back. They are perfect to my eye. Been in the bag since Feb. Don't know why I never came in and posted. Sorry.

Glad you're liking the 620 MBs, probably the best blade on the market now (save for MB101 but at double the cost...)
