Callaway Jaws Full Toe wedges - 2021 Barbasol Championship

Recommended Posts

The hosel on the first generation PM Grind isn't as severe as it is on the 19's - it's the reason why I'm playing my old and busted OG PM's.

These Jaws Full Toe wedges look very interesting. Can't wait to demo them.

I thought the point of the high toe and the full face groves is so when you open it up and hit flop shots you still have groves to work with. Why would you need this on anything less than the shortest wedge in your bag, maybe a mid wedge if that's what you use out of the bunker.

Agreed, I'm not in the full face camp yet, but when I join I think it'll be only with my lob wedge. (my primary wedge around the greens anyway, and the only one I open up significantly). Having said that, these look nice, I esp like the satin-finished ones.

I’m not talking about the full face grooves so much as I am the literal copy of the Hi-Toe raw face wedges on the chrome version.

And to be fair, they both look like s*** lol

These are looking better than the first few times I saw them.  Never considered this type of wedge in a 54*, but now interested.

64* has me thinking these may be the last nail in the PM grind coffin.  Hopefully not!  I do love that Callaway is not afraid to compete with themselves in the same market spaces.

I like them. I am a fan of full face groves and I would put a 60/12 in the bag easy. The black looks good to me.

With front page article confirming they raised the CG on these I’m all in. Likely going 54 and 60.

I hit a few shots with my kid’s PM grind 60 yesterday. I can see where the reduction in offset is appealing for 3/4 to full shots with the Jaws. Thinking PM 64* is safe until next gen shows uP???

They basically are (but some will use different wedges for distance but use the same swing/shot), but as different players have different lofts at the short end of their bags they cater for those different lofts (they generally don't go into pitching wedge lofts). There's also the issue that some see the look a bit jarring so they can get a complete-ish set of wedges.
