I'm kind of surprised Mizuno didn't jump on the band wagon of grooves out to the edge like Cleveland and Callaway

 I prefer the Mizuno approach to be honest.  I don't need my toe shanks to spin any more lmao.

Even Edel, which started the grooves to the edge, does not go to the edge any longer in their new wedges. They are farther out than traditional but it's a better look.

 

Mizuno T22? I haven't suffered from a lack of spin when opening up. Let's put it that way.

Yeah I've never had a problem with spin when opening up a wedge..

I plan on getting some when they're released 52/56/60(50/54/58 )depending on what the loft of the MP22 MB PW is...

Will set them in a bag until I can get MP22's....got have them still looking fresh for the WITB photo 😂

It does. But underneath is a raw wedge.

Mizuno has just never done it for me on the wedges. Just not the best in my opionion.

You haven't played the T-22 unless you are on tour, have connections, or at the Mizuno-THP experience on July 31.

 

I mean, what is best? It's what fits you best. I have no idea what is the best wedge- in fact, no one can say "This is the best wedge." Even a big seller is not the best wedge, it's just the best seller - could be the marketing. Find what fits and what performs for you, but let's not put down something just because you don't like it.

 

My take? I like them a lot. I also like my Artisans big time, and I called Artisan to ask, "Which Mizuno grinds/lofts come close to my Artisans so I can tell Mizuno what to make?" Not the same customization or specs as Artisan, but they work very well. Lots of greenside spin yet predictable. Just gotta be brave and know what you want the ball to do and which loft will get you close. I have a better wedge game since the arrival of the Artisans and Mizuno T22 (and previously I had, in order,  the T20, Vokeys, and the Ping Stealth 2.0) They are excellent for me ... I don't know about you.

I agree they might not be the best, buts it’s marginal enough for me to get what I like. My glide stealths were great. Sm8 really good as well. But I enjoy playing a forged wedge. My favorite wedge of all time has been Bridgestone XWs. Really looking forward to these though.

Any information about the loft and bounce specs? There are descriptions about the new grinds (S,D,C,X), but no loft/bounce chart yet.

its an up charge for the s400, but looking at all the T20s that have DG, it’s the s400..

Wish Mizuno did a better job laying out what the grinds are for like Vokey does (steep, sweeper, firm, soft etc, etc)

You can look at the Vokey chart and kind of figure out what kind of grind you'd like.

Really dislike the aesthetics on these. And they don't match the design of the Mizuno Pro series that's coming. I don't get it. These look busy and cheap.

Looks more modern with the fonts. I think I rather had the loft and bounce on the toe rather than on the back.

Cleveland 588 Tour Action is what I'd call a clean classic bladed wedge..May be bias as those are what's in my bag😎

I'm planning to pick up the T22 though to go with MP22 MB's I'm planning on getting. Wish Vokey would release the SM series in forged
