You and me both! Loving that finish so I'm really bummed at this...

But you do get the benefits of the chrome layer - so the soft feel is there.

I got suckered into trialing a 54 degree.  Im a sucker for copper wedges ever since the Becu Cleveland’s in high school.   If I like the 54 I’ll definitely pick up a 50.

Some wanted pics of the Copper after 7 weeks, 10 rounds, lots of range practice. The 50 on the left had some dirt in the lower grooves and does not show as well. To be honest, the copper looks better in hand than in this pic. I've noticed that about all the pics after the copper are used for almost two months. They show better in hand. Very handsome.

Thanks for showing these! Are the grooves clean in the pics? Or is the middle wedge a good representation of the wear Ie a small face wear patch with the copper underlay shining through?

I am wanting to go 50, 55, 60 in Satin Chrome or Denim Copper so wandering what the face wear / patina looks like over time...

That's probably the 54 - just looked at my bag again. The grooves have not shown wear - The copper will wear over time. Copper is still on the face but where you contact the face, it will lighten up as the copper wears. I don't use the 54 in the bunker as much as the 58 - the bottom of the 58 is raw now while the 54 is a copper patina.

Like I said above - the Satin has a copper layer and chrome like the HMB - which is a very soft feeling iron. The satin chrome, as you know, eventually wears on any wedge as it hits the bunker or hits face enough times. But it will look great for a few years. The grooves on the Mizuno hold up well in any finish due to the 3% boron.

I will say this - the copper, after some wear, does not show well in pics as in person. Copper will collect dirt like a penny or you know how Satin or Raw clubs will get darker? That's dirt from ball after ball as you hit the ground on a shot.

I have a light abrasive cleaner and one of those light abrasive, almost pencil-like abrasive but a little more abrasive and just cleaned up the face of the 54 and 58 - I mean, it looks good - you can see lighter color of the copper and its "patina."

After 3 months, you can see where ball hit face but copper is still holding up. The Patina looks good. I've had a slight case of hosel rockets in the first month trying to correct a swing flaw so excuse the hitting pattern. Swing changes are hell. These pics are after some eraser work where the copper was darker. So you can let the copper age like a penny or brush up the face with a light abrasive. I will probably choose to let it go dark and keep the grooves and edges clean.

These pics above don't do the wedge any justice - here it is from a more realistic position. But even this pic does not show it off as well as in person.

How close is the look to something like a copper TM Hi-Toe?

Depending on your point of view, they are not close to a high toe - it's an attractive wedge in the 58-60, not too high or low. Visualize if a T7 and T20 had a baby.

Sorry I meant to specify how is the denim copper finish compared to the hi-toe. I have the HMB pitching wedge and I am glad the t-22 looks similar at address since it works for me

I don't see where TM advertises the finish as a copper layer - they call it a raw finish with a tarnished look. But I'm not familiar with TM product other than a Sim Max Hybrid that I am trying out.

Any chance you have a pic of where the copper has worn off and is raw now?

So i played a round today.. havent played in a month and was the last round of the year so i took my new copper 52 out. I had plenty of shots with it today and i usually use my 52 as a stock chipping and approach wedge anywhere from 80 yards and in. I had every shot you can think of within that distance today and here is what i noticed...

I live in the northeast so i was worried about the ground being too mushy this time of year but we got lucky with a 68 degree day and the grounds were very decently dry for this time of year. I had a few full swing shot at 80 yards which with my callaway jaws wedge goes that distance unless i blade one.. but when i caught it clean with the t22... it was easily flying a bit further then that which shocked and scared me. I also had some half swing 50 yarders that went a tad over board. I quickly learned these wedges come packed with a little more juice then normal. I had plenty of chip shots around the greens and i must say personally i was suprised to see on very slow greens that there wasnt very good bite. Im not sure why that is. My jaws wedges is a spin machine and the bite is very visible on chip shots. The feel however was fantastic and i did have a few shots that were very promising and stood close to the hole. All in all i still very much liked the wedge and its just one fall round and probably way too soon to tell with only one round and a brand new wedge to learn. I do think theres lots of potential if i can dial in those half and full shots.

I don't understand how the T22 wedges still aren't on Mizuno's website. No idea where to find available lofts, grinds, etc.

What’s to understand given the lawsuit?

I just got my 58*/4* X grind today.

When laid open, the back is flat on the ground and a flop shot might come right back up and hit me in the face!

I hope to hit some shots on Sunday (weather permitting) or Monday at the indoor range.

Stock shaft will get pulled. I have a Modus 115 wedge shaft, a DG 115 shaft and a Nippon 950 that I could pair with it.

Overall, first impressions are good. I like the satin finish and it looks good at address.

Isn’t the stock shaft a tour issue S-400?
