I've been playing a 50* S-Grind, 56* D Grind and 60* X-Grind for 6 rounds now - these are by far the best wedges I've tried in the past 5 years.

The X-Grind is amazingly versatile

i emailed everything I wanted and he called me that I was all set to go. Cant wait.

I'm just glad the website is back up with information.

Any scoop on the lawsuit?  I'm curious to know more about the behind the scenes drama.

I'm going to laugh if it's Callaway that sued them over the C-grind. That's pretty silly considering I don't know how you can patent a wedge grind, and very rich considering Callaway has nearly the exact same grind as the Vokey S-grind and they also call it the S-grind.

I love the look of these T22 wedges and I understand it's costly to release every standard loft in every grind. But they skimped on these. It's obvious the S-grind was designed for 12 bounce, the D-grind 10 bounce, the C-grind 8 bounce, the X-grind 6 bounce. But that's only available in the 54, 56, 58, 60 respectively. Depending on the lofts you want you end up getting a bounce that's +/- 2 degrees from the designed bounce.

I play the D grind in my Vokeys with 12* bounce in my 58.  This is bunker club and around the green club.  Suggestions on Mizuno grind that would fit best?  My 50 is F with 8* bounce and 54 is the S grind with 10* of bounce but those are mostly for fuller shots.

S Grind = F Grind

D Grind = D Grind

X Grind = Mix if K and M

yes i have a 60.06 X and i'm surprised how forgiving this grind is. the trailing edge seems much more active than before and "built in forgiveness" is there when opening the face. glad i went X over C in the lob wedge for sure

Yeah I was leaning towards ordering the c grind and probably would have if they were available at the time, but I’ve been very happy with the x grind.  I got it in 61 for the extra degree of bounce.

I'd prefer D grind 54* with 10* bounce but looks like I have to go 8*

Seems like there should be more options

As I prefer higher bounce in my sand, I'm considering ordering the 55/13; this would provide even gapping with the my 50/7 (which I am really enjoying) and the 60/6 I'm planning to get.

The downside is that the 50 and 55 would both have the same (S) grind.

Is anyone here using a high-bounce T22?

Matt and Ian seemed pleased with the 55/13 S (alongside the 50/7 S and 60/6 X) they tried in TXG's review a few weeks back...

Has anyone put these up against the Cleveland RTX Zip?

I have a 58 zip and 54/50 in the brushed copper.  I like the mizunos better,  spin harder and are smaller to look at.

Hi all,

Cant find if this was covered in this thread or the other T22 thread but just wondering if anyone can confirm / have tested the shafts to determine if they are genuine S400 shafts ito frequency and weight or if they are S300's with a shaft label?

Had the denim copper in hand today and looks amazing but a quick question for those that have used it for a few weeks... will the Satin chromes grooves last a bit longer? Looking at Satin or Denim... usually would go Satin but intrigued by the Denim...

Tour Issue S400 is the stock shaft just like the label states. The grooves will wear similarly on Copper and Chrome finishes.

Thanks, was just curious as some manufacturers have done a made for shaft with labels which I dont want... I can then do a straight stock build on the wedges which is hugely useful when you live in a country that gets very little stock of anything at the moment!

Will get into the T22's first and then order my 223's when they launch is what I am thinking...

I plan to do the same order… will have a fitting 12/22 and see what suits best, unfortunately I have a slow swing speed (7 iron / 74mph average) might have to consider a senior flex shaft, but my clubfitter has Accra and Oban shafts in stock so let’s see if we find the right combination…

I’ll definitely try the T22 and the RTX ZIPCORE and from an iron point of view the new MP223 and MP225 against the JPX921 forged and Hot Metal Pro…

I’m really excited to hit them soon 😉

cheers

I was really keen on the Zipcores as I have used Cleveland and Mizuno wedges over the years interchangeably... but actually not a fan of the face profile looking down at it. The T22 on the other hand is so pure... Also like the fact I can get a 58 degree C grind I can open up with 8 degrees bounce in the Mizzy where I have to go down to 6 in Zipcore for the same thing... Those were the deciders for me. Now only have a week or two to decide on what finish I want - Chrome or Denim copper!

Good luck with the fitting! Hope you come up with the right combo...

Denim copper looks insane… but I think if you hit few shot it will look relatively fast bad… therefore I love the ok but I think will go with chrome…

Those are my thoughts too... Chrome usually holds up pretty well barring the soles... Might just get an extra 58 degree as thats were I do most of my chipping / pitching and gets most W&T...
