Bryson says Cobra Drivers suck, Cobra compares Bryson to Temper Tantrum throwing 8 year old

but that’s the thing. The driver doesn’t suck.

How do you know the driver doesn't suck? ALTHOUGH IT HAS NEVER HAPPENED IN THE HISTORY OF GOLF, surely it's possible that a Golf OEM would create and sell a driver that is something less than a work of perfection, absolutely flawless and pristine? And even if every driver ever made by Nike, Callaway, TM, Titleist, Cobra, Honma, Mizuno, were all PERFECT, surely there might be ONE or TWO that are slightly less perfect than the rest? Could you accept that "suck" is a relative term? Like I carry the Sumo Sasquatch 330 yards but over drew it by 0.5 yards, but the Taylormade R187 carried it 335 yards! Baby steps.

I’ll take it a step further…

between Bryson, Koepka and Patric cheating Reed it’s getting very hard to like a significant % of the US Ryder Cup Team.

They are GENUINELY difficult to pull for. I can’t stand those dudes. Arrogant, disrespectful (Koepka); whiny, spoiled, too self centered (Bryson) and Reed is Reed.

These dudes all need some folks close to them to shoot them straight, call them out and if they get fired then so be it. Maybe that’s why Bryson’s caddie is no longer.

And add Dustin Johnson who likes to snort coke and bang other players' wives.

1/4 of the Ryder Cup team is truly deplorable.

What has Berkshire won with a Cobra head in 2021? He only joined Cobra/Puma earlier this year. Many if not all of his LDA wins were with a Callaway driver head. His website shows he hasn't won any long drive event since 2019.

He shouldn't have said it publicly that the driver sucks and just said in a private area like in his house or car. Then just talked with Cobra about it in a more diplomatic way. However, what he said about driver designs nowadays, I agree with. The modern drivers are more difficult to hit a consistent draw.  I agree with both Leonard and Chamblees commentary on the subject.

Uh-huh. Any picture of this super secret TM R187 driver? Seeing your other posts I know there isn't one. Guessing you meant the Superquad TP 282. Sure you got a non existent club confused with a TM tour only driver. Bet the house on it. 😂

Seriously question who did he beat? 4 people at their local driving range? Based on IG pics it seems that way. How many other big name PLDA players if any were there at the event? The big name LDA tour with excellent sponsors is dead and gone. BTW thought KB was passing on LD and trying to seriously become a plus 4 plus 5 or more and make a run at professional golf. He won 4k at this LD "event".  If this was such a huge win where is the Cobra/Puma official hype promotion?

Regardless still posted some good numbers. Cobra is as good as anything else out there. Imagine how many TM drivers he’d crack

Has the bottom not completely fallen out of the Long Drive competitive scene over the past couple of years?

He should ask Callaway for a right handed version of the Epic Speed Phil Mickelson prototype.

I don't have the same issues relating to 200mph ball speed and 5 degree loft angles changing the head dynamics, but as a lifelong natural drawer of the ball I've been moaning about the difficulty in finding driver heads that can consistently turn the ball over for nigh on 15 years.

they can change the driver all they want, but they cant outdo what the ball manufacturers have done , they have taken the hook and the slice out of today's modern ball, they might be able to affect launch angle but thats why the line these guys take off the tee is everything...BDC isn't able to find a line on RSG to fit his eye, so hence the whine...modern science meet Mother Nature, she is undefeated, you may occasionally abuse her but she gets her way in the end every time...her and Father Time are one heck of a couple

Tell that to TXG. The RAD did very well against all the others, top 3 IIRC.

Let’s see if he hits his driver tomorrow. I watched the early hours again and Faldo this time was right on the money. If the driver is off on a day, put the damn ball in the fairway. Any 10 handicapper knows if he doesn’t have the stuff with the driver he might back down to a 3 or 5 wood, or long hybrid.
BD mismanaged the golf course. Didn’t respect the rough, and hit some terrible pitches. His driver swing failed time after time, and he wouldn’t accept it. Maybe he learned something. Not sure.

The golf course won. There is nothing wrong with his driver. Courses are littered with bones of The Golfing Machine. You cannot fit your 200 mph swing into a course that will not accept it.

If he couldn’t keep it on the planet with the TM then he’s got no chance with his 47 inch 5.5 Callaway

Not sure how Phil's wildly inconsistent swing is relevant to the forgiveness of the head. He basically shanked a short iron into a bunker on 1 today. I don't think that's the Apex MBs fault

Phil striped the Epic Speed PM Prototype at Kiawah. I haven't seen Bryson consistent with any of the 7 versions of the Rad he's tried. It would probably be worth a try.

The other options for a square sitting 5ish degree driver are literal LD heads.

I think to get the spin right for Bryson the weight is as far forward as it can be. I’m not sure there’s an awful lot of difference between any retail heads. Personal preference and shaft combination....

Neither player is using anything remotely resembling a retail head.

Player A: Smash Factor 1.492 FIR 53.60%

Player B: Smash Factor 1.437 FIR 53.44%

Both players A&B are literally swinging out of their shoes trying to hit every drive as far as possible.

I'm going to assume that, considering both players are world class players and major champions in the extended season those stats are taken from, Player A might be using a more forgiving driver than player B to explain that much of a discrepancy in efficiency.
