I absolutely adored my Miura retros:

PXL_20210405_194717912.jpg.c2a773e17ab54b652013b1d3fd60323b.jpg

But I don't think anything can beat the original Baby Blades - so another vote for those bad hombres

Also had a CB-201 Straight Neck in just a 4i that I have yet to find something that feels as good when hit flush.

It'll have to go back maybe 15 to 20 years when it was Miura Giken and ordered direct from the factory.   Its MB5001 and the CB1005 IIRC.

Yes, at least I believe so. Tried to do some digging on them and all I could find out is that they are referred to as Miura retro blades and most say one of the first iterations of the tournament blade. It's my favorite Miura logo.

Very cool! I am adding a few of them to my set this week. I’m replacing my CB-501 3 and 4 irons and then replacing my lost 7-iron MB-001 (detached from shaft during swing and went to the bottom of a lake).

This photo is from the box fresh condition of my raw 1008s. They look even better now with some wear, and they play even better.

OMG ... never saw those. What a curiously unusual, stunningly beautiful looking golf club.

As one of the folks that has been egging me on in this journey, I need an updated list here. I am sitting on 4 different sets now (had 6 I think) including KM700, and the one thing that strikes me is his low 1008 are on your list. You still have the TCs above them? And the 301s?

At this moment, I am conflicted btwn 1008 vs. KM700. That's how highly I regard them.

That being said, I think it's funny how Miura gets in your blood...and for those reading this, all these are stunning clubs. It's just flavours at the ice cream shop. Buy the set you can afford, and when you can, buy a different one (that's what I did).

Hmmm..... There would definitely be some change.

# 14.... TC-101

# 13.... MC-501*

# 12.... Nike Split Cavity Proto*

# 11.... 202-CB

# 10.... Nike Full Cavity Proto*

# 9.... CB-301 2019*

# 8.... CB-1008*

# 7.... Baby Blade 2.0

# 6.... Baby Blade 1957*

# 5.... TB-000*

# 4.... KM-700*

# 3.... CB-1006*

# 2.... CB-1007 Y Grind*

# 1.... CB-57*

( * = presently own a set )

# 8 and # 9, CB-1008 and CB-301 2019, respectively, I would consider interchangeable.

# 11 and # 12, 202-CB and Nike Split Cavity Proto, respectively, I would also consider interchangeable.

The MC-501 and TC-101 are the two which fell out of favor the most. Not saying they are a bad club by any means, but for me, they don't fit.

The MC-501 is very sticky and likes to dig, even with leading edge relief. Outside that though, it's a tremendous club and design. If I could go back in time and get even more leading edge relief, maybe they would still be a Top 5 Contender, but they are discontinued and I can not right a wrong any further.

The TC-101 is a great club as well, but I have sincere feelings that it may be missed classified. It flies too high, and flies too straight. I lost distance, even compared to a blade. And, I couldn't move it anywhere. It just stayed stupid straight, and high. Based on the design, with significant weight redistributed to the heel and the toe, the TC-101 plays more like a Full Cavity Forging. Super forgiving. Super easy to hit. But if you want your golf ball moving in any direction, I found complications.

In regards to the CB-1008. I could play it tomorrow if I had to. No problems. No complaints. But I'm fortune to have options, that I find even better than the CB-1008. I also think that speaks volumes to what I think of the Top 3: CB-57, CB-1007 Y Grind, and CB-1006. The CB-57 and the CB-1007 Y Grind, 6 Iron through 9 Iron, I more or less see as absolute perfection. You can't improve upon it. The CB-1006, I'm not crazy in love with the Finish, but outside that, again, it borders upon perfection.

And, the last thing I'm going to say, the new, CB-302, has outstanding chances of cracking the Top 10, and possibly, the Top 5. The CB-302, to me, looks like the CB-57, CB-1008, and TC-201, had a menage a trois, and 9 months later, the CB-302 popped out! TBD....
