This tells me these Presales were are a mistake and Dicks/GG had to go back to Titleist to have scotty make more to fulfill orders.

Then why are they sending out notices stating shipping is in 1 month from now? 

 

It's either what I said or Scotty tells them to pound salt and all the presales are gonna get refunded.

Wasn’t there a second run of T22s released back in 2019 a few weeks after the initial release? Not sure how limited those were compared to the button backs but could be a similar situation. Regardless GG/DSG handled the pre orders poorly.

or they could be staggering production & deliveries for logistical purposes, or any number of different things…. I really don’t see any reason why Scotty would dilute his self imposed cap on production quantities because of an internal issue with a single retailer that he doesn’t really need.

Got my Newport today, was flipped to me. Looks and feels so much better than my T22 for some reason. Head cover is also a nicer quality, feels like it would hold up to wear and tear better.

Exactly what I found as well, couldn’t believe how much better it felt compared to the T22.

This is hands down one of the most laughable things I’ve read since I’ve been on here. There is less than a zero percent chance Titleist “makes more” to fulfill some orders. I mean it’s not like we’re are in the middle of a pandemic or anything and it would make sense to stager orders with shipping being such a nightmare. But your scenario makes much more sense 😂😂😂

Definitely not jealousy. I’d just rather have multiple property equity paid off by 44 vs owning a $1200 putter that costs $600 😉

This is my second Scotty but it is different from my CX-02. It is way better than the  2020 Newport I tested. What would you compare the feel to other Scotty Putter? Original Button Back? It is feel crisp and soft as the same time and man my speed control with this putter is amazing.

I agree that this is the nicest feeling putter I’ve owned. Just be patient you guys will enjoy it.

Yes it feel damn fuking good now I am wishing I owned Newport 2 as well just to feel the difference. I didnt change my stroke making no change to my putting at all and I already gained 4 strokes on my first round with it. It felt like the putter is made for me. I tried the 2020 Newport and 2018 Newport but didnt like them. I had a Cameron &Crown M6 and that thing was amazing on feel and follow through. But distance control isnt there I either short or just too long.

I have a T22 and have had one of the original Button Backs. These are a perfect blend of both.

Newport 2 came in and it’s fantastic. Really sits in a Goldilocks zone regarding sound/feel. Much better feeling than the special select series IMO. A very very satisfying putter to release through the ball. I have a Newport on the way as well so might post a comparison if I believe there’s something to say.

Oh, and the looks in person are much stronger than what you see online. I really thought I was going to strip some of the paint, but probably not.

Well, my local shop called me this morning.  Seems someone backed out on the 34" Newport 2 they had reserved.  I was next on the list and immediately said yes.  I had no intentions of buying two.  But until 2nd Swing ships the one they called me about earlier I have low confidence it would actually show up.  So no way was I going to turn down a sure thing at retail.  Better to have two than none.  Now fingers crossed 2nd Swing gets me the 35" Newport they said they were swapping in for their oversold Newport 2s.  

 

I am loyal to both of these companies and very much appreciate how they treat me.  Especially my local store.  Side note, I traded in a bunch of clubs with them on Wednesday.  While in the store they had a 2nd Gen 330g MilSpec complete with original cover both in near mint condition.  Priced at $159.  I really didn't need another MilSpec as I have three 350gs.  But the condition, plus they gave it to me for $130 sealed the deal.  Had $125 in trade in, so almost new MilSpec for $5 plus tax.  It must be my lucky week!
