Played with it tonight in summer league. Really nice feel off the face. Much softer than the T22 (which, admittedly, I never liked). Feels similar to the original BB from what I remember (but it's been years since I gamed the OG). I need to find it in the putter closet and take it out for a comparison round. I did get a ton of comments on it from guys who are not "putter hoes" like some of us. The weighting is great once I threw in my longer shaft and grip.

Just a longer shaft (36" Scotty Smoked Black shaft) with a Lizard grip.

So subjective. To me it is more of a carbon style feel versus stainless steel but with some "crisper" feedback. It's not nearly as soft as my copper putters, but the button backs never were. I played again today and it rolled in 6 birdies for my round, so it's earning its keep at the moment.

Called around and most places are no longer taking pre-orders. 2nd Swing is but is charging $800 with $200 going to a donation to the First Tee (to discourage people flipping them).

That likely depends on how many your store is getting. My local WW Golf shop is getting 1 and it is first come first served. No preorders despite their email saying otherwise. So I suspect someone will be there early.

That's true, didn't think about that. When I went to my local gg all the manager said was that they'd be getting a few in. This is going to be a bday present to myself so I better get there early

Just a guess but I assume anyone who goes to big box store on Friday, even as it opens, will find all the Champions Choices are spoken for. My local Watts laughed at me when I asked.

Just got mine today, and to me the paint is actually better looking in person which is a relief. As for the feel, I find it slightly firmer than my T22 but that could just be me. I went with a Newport shape which I only have NP2’s so gives me an option for a different look. Pure strikes are pretty soft but you know you hit. I’ve always heard the method of attaching the face affect feel, and I would say the screws must firm it up slightly compared to Tei3 tape only. Just my two cents, will definitely be keeping mine especially since I got it for MAP pricing. Will be backing out of the the one they are charging 1K for.
