Callaway adapters - Standard - Green (Strong) - Red (Flat)

So as most of you know or don’t know, there are 3 different Callaway adapters.  The standard (-1 to +2), Green Dot (-2 to +1), and Red Dot (Flatter Lie Angle).  
My question is:  are the different adjustments in the adapter itself or is it just in the COGs?  Would swapping over the loft COG from a Green Dot onto a Standard actually make it play at -2* loft.  And furthermore would taking the Lie COG from a Red Dot and moving it to the standard adapter make it play flatter?  Then in theory would I be able to combine both Green and Red and get -2* loft and a flatter lie angle?

The question's been asked before but I don't think anyone's done enough measurements to have a definite answer of how much is from the cogs and how much is from the core of the adapter.   It would make much more sense from a manufacturing standpoint that the difference be limited to the cogs.  But that's hardly definitive.    But even if it is just the cogs, based on the geometry, it would much more likely be a result of the cog pairs, not just one of individual cogs.
