Arccos?

i got that same trial and have not been impressed with the number of missed shots.

I also have the same trial and Arccos has missed a single shot in 10 rounds for me, so I can't say I share this experience.

The data is nice and I enjoy using it quite a bit, unsure of whether I'll resub or not. It'll certainly be nice to baseline once my new irons get in if nothing else

I just got the trial set as well and have two rounds in so far.  I'm really impressed so far.  I didn't see the point at first because I already keep track of my stats, but find the strokes gained in comparison to specific indexes (I'm using 0 for reference) to be great information to direct me on where to focus my practice next.  I didn't have any full swing shots fail to register, but did have 3 4 putts register when I 2-putted on the first hole I used it on, but maybe it picked up me fixing divots across the green?  It also seems to miss a lot of second putts.  But that's a quick correction I can make after each hole. I make sure I have my phone in my front/lead pocket with the microphone facing up.  The microphone sensitivity is based on volume control too, so supposedly having the volume all the way up will increase the microphone sensitivity.

I have an apple watch but haven't used it with the app yet, so will likely try it soon.  I also know my club distances under ideal conditions, but it's cool to see the numbers when wind is greatly affecting my shots.  I think in time it will help me better choose just how much to club up in certain conditions.  Same with slope.  I hit my 50* on average 120 yards carry or so but learned on a specific hole I frequently play that it actually carries 130 because it's slightly downhill.  I'm sure I'll come across a lot of learning situations like that.

I love it, but I'm a data junkie. For a guy who loves golf and analyzing golf/golf data, it's a dream. Callouts above are fair though. I have to spend at least a few minutes after every round to adjust flags and putts, and the occasional missed shot. Usually 0-4 a round. For me, no problem, but I can see how others aren't a fan.

I agree with everything here.  The data is invaluable if you're serious about golf and looking to identify weaknesses and improve your game.  Yes, it misses the occasional shot and or putt, but it's not a big deal.  It takes 10 seconds to fix after playing a hole and you can do it on the walk/drive from the green to the next tee.

The link accessory has been excellent as well for shot detection and being able to mark the flag without your phone

I used to miss a ton of putter shots but after contacting customer service, they ended up sending me a new sensor. They even sent me a few replacements for some sensors that probably stopped working due to battery issues. My situation is a little different though as I was an early adopter and I'm grandfathered into the plan prior to them charging an annual rate. I did convince two of my golf buddies who grabbed a set each and they're more than happy to pay the annual fee for all the data they get in return.

I got a set as a present and wasn't sure how much I was going to like them.  Had lots of app problems with missed shots when using my phone as a detection.  But I'm on Android and typically am using un released Beta test phones, so both HW and SW can be spotty.  I picked up the link and will occasionally get an extra shot if I'm carrying multiple clubs (I forget to carry them heads up which is supposed to avoid the issue) and quick tap in putts get missed quite a bit (I'm guessing because their algorithm is waiting for a pause before the contact. The link has been great because if the app crashes which happens a lot when I restart it it loads in all the missed shots like nothing ever happened

The data I get on yardages have proven to be valuable, and also showed me I had a club whose loft was out of whack since the wasn't a distance increase over the higher club.

Honestly I'm hooked on them.  Hoping they can make a Link Gen 2 that's like a basic fitbit in size so I don't have a green blob hanging off my pants pocket

I actually recently noticed this as well in an old set of interim Titleist 690MBs I am playing at the moment while waiting for a shipment. The 9i and PW are the same club lol

Lots of other cheaper options out there that give just as good information. $100/yr+ is steep. Shot tracking is OK for the long game, but as discussed elsewhere, GPS are only accurate to +/-10-15ft, which makes the SG calculations for putts and short game shots highly suspect for any of these shot tracking devices, not just Arccos. Even if you do manually correct it, then you have to wonder why you're paying significant dollars for an automated solution that really isn't that automated. The technology is cool, but just too expensive and not accurate enough just yet.

Use it if you're willing to manually adjust your the locations of the flag and your first putt on each hole after the round. You need to get those corrected so the first-putt distance is accurate within a few feet. There will also be occasional corrections as to whether a shot was in "rough" vs. "fairway" or "sand" but there usually aren't more than one or two of those per round.

Also take with a big grain of salt Arccos's split between SG: Off The Tee and SG: Approach. It does not know how to charge a pitch-out from the tees against your SG: Off The Tee and will treat it as a bad SG: Approach shot (unless they have fixed this problem in the several years since I gave up on Arccos).
