When my laptop went to sleep the sound went away when it came back out of sleep.

I spoke with Foresight and they said they are unsure of FSX Play will be a free upgrade for FSX 2020 or GC3 users at this point.  They will send an email when everything starts to take shape and gets finalized.

Strange.  My rep said it would be free upgrade when I ordered.  I hope that hasn’t changed.  Should be expected in 2022 to have graphics that are better than on par with tiger woods 1999…

Crazy that they can’t put out a definitive answer on this. I’m wanting to pull the trigger on a gc3 soon but don’t want it to bite me if I’m gonna have to turn around and pay for a software upgrade right after I get it.

I also read somewhere that of they choose to go full unlock option on FSX Play that it will most likely be more expensive than the FSX 2020 unlock option for the Bushnell Launch Pro.  Can't confirm that though as it was only what I read.

This is why it doesn’t make a ton of sense.  Maybe if you are coming from the free upgrade from 2018 to 2020 you would be charged a small fee but when you just bought $3000 software a couple months ago…that would be asinine.

I bought 30 courses on the promise that everything will be converted to fsx play when available. Kind of rattling if they make me repay a fee since I already spent enough money 2 months earlier. It doesn’t make sense to drop a new product and then release an upgrade at a charge 3 months later.

 I have the exact same issue except I don't use a mouse, I use the laptop touchpad. Im using a brand new Dell G15 running a 3050ti with nothing else installed on it. I suspected my unit was too low on ram ( 8gig) but yours has plenty.

Yes he is. I just got a anti slip mat from Amazon. 
 

After the hard reset, no error issues so far (fingers crossed). Just upgraded to Gold today too. 30 days were finally up.

they told me today that FSX Play will be a $500 upgrade, and that they are changing their prices to reflect it (i.e., if you buy the 7000 GC3 now, that same unit will be 7500 in 1-2 weeks when they roll out FSX Play.

 

Unclear what happens if you buy the BLP for 3K now, will the upgrade then be 4500 instead of 4K?

He didn't give a timeline but said "could be as soon as 1-2 weeks, will not be long"

If there is a fee, I’ll wait until all the courses are converted to FSX Play.

 

There have been enough software issues with the rollout, and issues with the iPad that I don’t want to re experience that growing pain too soon after everything is now perfect.

I have a new G15 as well.  Mine has 16gig of memory and my cursor (touch pad) hangs up too.  Rather annoying.

Go to live.foresightsports.com, sign in with existing account information (little blue button in the upper right), and you'll have to option to upgrade your subscription to Silver, Gold, or Fully Unlocked.

Thanks. I don't know why they made it so difficult to figure out how to subscribe or purchase the software after the trial. Even customer support did not provide me with this link.

My Foresight rep just contacted me and said the GC3s just cleared customs. Mine is on it so since I ordered mine after everybody else, I'd assume you'll all have yours too. They have to test the units then they will ship them out tomorrow or the next day from Ontario.

 

I also asked about the cost to upgrade FSX Play and he confirmed that it's $500 USD.

I will also wait.  I love everything about the physics of fsx2020 other than exaggerated carry with low spin shots and the cup physics when putting.  Unfortunately I’m sure if they are going to extort $500 it will be a limited time deal or something so we have to buy before some date or it will be $1000.

I may be wrong, but the software simply takes the data from the device (BLP/GC3) and displays it numerically and in form of an actual shot (on the range, or a course).

 

FSX Play will not change what’s outputted from the device, so the algorithm will not change.

Correct.  It’s a problem with both.  Could be corrected in the software but should be fixed on both IMO.

FSX 2020 was a FREE upgrade from FSX 2018.

 

If we just bought 2020, please make it a FREE upgrade to FSX Play.

Saw a comment where Foresight is updating their website to reflect the new increased pricing...not sure when it will be live though (PGA Show perhaps?)

Price increase? Their software is already overpriced.  Not to mention the fact that for approx $10,000 CDN, you practically need a computer science degree to connect a GC3 to your home wifi! I'm getting ready to order one, but these concerns are making it hard to pull the trigger.
