BLP needs to connect to the network every 30 or 45 days to keep access to software.  While you may be correct it will work on screen only, it would be a pretty expensive piece of technology not to have it work to it's full potential

Thx, it is only for a trip this summer to Europe.

BLP does work in Canada. You also don’t need to use a VPN

All you need to order is a U.S credit card and a U.S address to ship to.  Mine arrived yesterday and I set it up this morning. All is Good.

Interesting to hear...also, is this "Bullseye" from the golf sim website?  Did you ever go through with creating your own LM?

Our programmer came down with long Covid at the end of June and is still recovering from his symptoms. Hopefully he will recover and can finish the programming  for it. Until then it’s on hold.

So you could get a family member to buy a gc3 who lives in US for$6999 and ship to Canada instead of paying $7675 to buy through foresight canada?

It looks like my GC3 may arrive before my computer. Are we able to use the stats on the unit without signing up on the computer or do I need to wait?

You can use it right out of the box no computer needed.  You just get data one shot at a time.  With GC3 I don’t believe you even have to register it.  I didn’t have my software code or FSX live login for a few days so I used it standalone.

Hi,

I just got hold of a GC3. The data that's bugging me is the AOA. I hv a GCQ and the AOA on GC3 is usually 3-5⁰ steeper. My avg reading on the quads for 7i is ard -5⁰, but I'm getting like -8/9⁰ on the GC3.

While wedges is giving dbl digits which is bizarre...

Secondly, anyone has USB issues connection to FSX2020? I get occasional failure to connect.

I've noticed the same thing... For irons and wedges, AOA on GC3 is generally 2-4* steeper than what X3 measures.  Interesting to see that it's steeper than quad... I actually wondered if the steep AOA was a CG3 thing, or Foresight thing... sounds like a GC3 thing.

It’s always seemed steep to me as well.  Curious if you flip the GC3 in front of the quad do you get similar discrepancies?

USB has always been spotty and slow though it’s certainly better than what it was a couple months ago.  I believe they had a warning in the box with mine that said the usb interface wasn’t working well when they shipped it.  Works now but it’s slow compared to WiFi for me.

Thanks for the update!

Not sure how I feel about that $500 upgrade charge (actually I'm quite sure ...) During discussions with the Foresight rep I was led to believe it would be a free upgrade.

Looking forward to receiving the GC3.

Have you heard anything since? I was expecting an email last week or today but nothing yet. Testing must be taking a while.

I haven’t heard anything either was waiting to see if anyone posted here I was told I’m 15 on the list.

My SIAB package has at least shipped and arrives tomorrow, but just no GC3 yet and they haven't provided me an estimated date on that either.  Hopefully it's soon!

Thank you to all for the info in this thread.  Got my BLP today and it is dead on arrival!  Called customer support and I’m waiting for them to send me a shipping label.   No word when they will ship out another…..sad day.

That really sucks. Sorry to hear. I have this nagging B4 error that pops up about 15% of our sessions. Trying to just power cycle it as I don’t want to have to ship it back. That’s about a month without it and we use it daily

Anyone use the iPad primarily to connect to the BLP/GC3? Any issues?

I still get that occasional B4 issue even after the hard reset / power cycle. Not looking good for us as it sounds like very few of you get this error.

I use the iPad 100% of the time.   my iPad loses connectivity with the gc3.   It eventually locks in for a great session but the times it does lose connectivity it’s a pain to have to connect.

What about when you hit driver? Wonder if it still applies when hitting up on the ball.

I used the iPad app last night for the first time in a while

FSX Pro has some nice features, but it took forever for the unit and iPad to share data, despite being “connected”

After that it was money.

I may use the iPad only at the range and used FSX Pro on the laptop for better data capture.

I have zero issues with all connections after adding an addition Google Nest port to the garage.

I think you can’t overstate how important a fast, strong wifi connection is to this setup.

For all those having iPad issues...I found that most of my issues with keeping a connection to the iPad revolved around keeping the screen on.  Changing the settings for a never turn off screen mode made my sessions much better.

Ah gotcha. Will try that. Thanks!

We just started the competition games to dial in wedges. Love it! My kid thinks it’s so much fun and good practice.
