1 week in…1442 shots.  Love this thing.  And I’m saying that playing on a 32” crappy old tv until my projector gets here Friday.  Think this will be so good for my game.  Beating balls into a net might have helped me a little last year but I’ll be expecting to be leaps and bounds better next spring.  Such good insights into your game.  Can apply swing thoughts and immediately test them to see if there is improvement.  Yes it’s expensive…but if you love golf I think it’s easy to justify the cost, especially considering the alternatives to data this accurate.  Can’t wait for FSX play as the teaser graphics on that look amazing compared to FSX 2020 but the ball physics are very nice and I don’t really care as much to how pretty it looks vs how it performs and informs.

Anyone else still having issues keeping the GC3 connected even on v8.0.2.7?

 

sometimes it won’t even find the gc3 unless I restart fsx2020. 
 

also, Bluetooth is the preferred connection?

FYI shipping times on the GC3 are coming way down.  I called them on the 5th, finished the paperwork on the 8th, and got a ship notice from UPS today (18th).

Which projector did you go with ? I’m looking at optoma EH200st and the gt1080 st but I have no idea how to choose  also benq seems to be a popular one … I’m looking for a short throw .8:1 or shorter that’s 1080p(assuming 4K would be way more expensive as I’m looking to spend around 1000$ give or take a few hundred

Just got my GC3 and the registration is not syncing with the unit. I called Bushnell waited on hold for 45 minutes and was told they couldn't help. Anyone know of a resolution?  It doesn't look like there's any sort of reset at all on the unit. Also, are they supposed to come with club dots in the box?

No - they do sell the standalone GC3.  You just have to call them and order it.  And as I said in previous posts - it's cheaper to do that anyway.  I only paid sales tax on the 4k hardware and not the 3k software.  If I had ordered the 8.5k bundle, I'd have paid sales tax on the whole amount.

I ordered the bundle and had it shipped to family in NV (we are in CA) - didn’t get charged any sales tax, and father in law bounced it straight on to me. Saved a ton.

I just asked about shipping out of state to an alternate address and that is what they did.

Foresight will ship to wherever you have them send it.

It is up to you to report and pay the California sales tax on goods for out of state purchases.

Went with the BenQ TK700STi.  Only 3000 lumens but I really wanted 4K and the price was right.  Hope it’s bright enough.  I’ve got a couple narrow flood gimbal lights I’m going to install and point at hitting area away from the screen.  Should be ok.  Was on sale at http://Www.bhphotovideo.com for $1399.  I’ll post some pics this weekend I should have it set up.

If you have the write setup for the throw distance, I got a Viewsonic PX748-4k - it's a nice 4k projector for under $1000.  I've been using it with a mevo+ and it works great.

I just got a FedEx notice as well.  Standard ground to NJ and will be here Saturday by end of day.  Now just waiting on the software email.  Hopefully that doesn’t take too long to come through.

Yes people are running it with an old 970 card.  Not 100% you will get 4K with a laptop 3060 but 1080p no problem.

Good to hear, I just want a functional setup for winter practice. Don’t need the 4K. Down the road maybe but for now I’m just hitting into a net and using a 42 inch tv.

It’s fun as hell just with a tv.  Played 2 rounds today with some practice warmups, a full bag gap test and couple go’s at the closest to the pin contests.
