It’s something in your graphic card settings… plugged into the right port, trying to do 16:10?, resolution one that’s not compatible? Try changing settings to 1080p at 16x9. Also look to see if you are using the graphics card vs integrated graphics

Thanks Luke. I’ll try that…haven’t been able to get past this screen before crashing. Will try changing the laptop display settings.

Is my launch pro under reporting by a club or is it that my garage is 30 degrees and the balls I’ve been using I’ve hit almost every day for 2 months. I’m hoping it’s the latter lol.

Maybe try adjusting the conditions?

I have been experiencing issues trying to adjust the elevation. Regardless if I manually change it, it will always read 0 degrees. Is this a bug?

interesting because I have the same thought. I have read that the BLP itself (when not connected to FSX) does not incorporate altitude into carry distances. I am at about 5200, and the barometer reads that accurately, but the carry distances all seem closer to what I would expect at sea level. I took it to the range and it also seemed the carry distance was low relative to the range targets I was shooting with my rangefinder, but it is always hard to tell exactly where the ball lands out on the range. Anyone have info on this?

A nutted 8 iron is reading about 150 carry, which I would expect to be 165 when playing here at altitude.

My situation is exactly like this lol. I’m in Indiana. Where are you located? I was thinking maybe it was the barometer as well.

My carry is about 5 yards shorter on the unit versus FSX. I’m at 1100 ft.  It shows the elevation but I don’t think it is factoring it in yet on the unit itself.

Agree that the unit doesn’t factor the elevation into it. Also, I think FSX leaves a lot to be desired. I hope FSX Play takes a giant leap or that the golf club 2019 somehow makes the connection

I've been waiting for my Fiber mat to come in ( hopefully today) and have just been using a little hitting strip / divot board that I have, messing around with the LP. I will saw, I've gotten some odd numbers, bascially hitting a 50* and 8i 100-115 yards. The direction and what I would perceive the ball flight seem accurate, the distances just seem way off. On the course and validate with trackman, an 8i is usually 145-150 for me.

Does the mat play a large role into carry/ball speed? My only other thought is lighting in the garage..

Lighting doesn’t matter.  You can hit in the dark and it will register.  Something else must be affecting it.  I was using a big white rubber tee and when I would hit it flush I was getting weird low spin numbers.

I really like the physics of FSX 2020.  The graphics…leave a lot to be desired.  It looks ok on 4K projector but I’m also very excited to get FSX play it looks really nice in the preview videos I’ve seen.

Hopefully once my hitting mat comes in I can test more and the numbers look more normal - otherwise I've been way over estimating on the course lol

My free month of Gold subscription is about to run out and I can't figure out how to buy into the Gold package now.

I was able to log into my FSX live account and i can see my current license on the site but i do not see any way to upgrade it.

I'm at the office so I don't have my Launch Pro or PC in front of me. Is there a page somewhere I can upgrade my license or do i need to do it through the software when i get home?

I believe you just do it online through FSXLive login, like how you registered the unit.

I think I may have found the reason for under reporting. Yes I believe it may be a little elevation and a little loss of compression from old & very cold balls.

My new theory is my country club elite golf mat. If you don’t make ball first contact, the mat grabs the club and definitely reduces club speed way more significantly than real turf. I’m going to have to head out to the course to do some testing but I’m guessing that’s the reason. I’ll likely cut out a 12/18 square and buy a divot action or holy grail. Any other hitting strips I should know of?

MOST GOLFERS DONT LIKE SIM GOLF. Nothing wrong with liking it, but if you go to an actual golf course and ask everyone who walks through the door if they would be interested in buying a device to play rounds of simulated computer golf at home I think the answer would be a resounding no.

LOL, this kind of thinking can only come from someone who lives in Arizona. Or Florida.

Because in the other 48 states if you asked everyone who walks into a pro shop "would you be interested in playing simulated computer golf at home today or would you rather shovel another foot of snow off you driveway" - my guess is 99.85% of them answer a resounding YES to sim golf.

Most people will pick real golf over sim golf every day of the week. But most people also dont live in areas with 12 month golf seasons.

UGH! Me too.

They better not...lol. If they do, I wonder if they'd match the price since you bought so recently. That would be a real kick to the face for early adopters. I bet they offer more units and put courses on sale.

so.... not complaining.... but anyone know why my Gold subscription is cheaper than what's listed? I can see it is a month shorter but why?

Screen Shot 2021-11-23 at 2.30.24 PM.png

My guess is your original annual subscription (Basic) started 10/24, with a month of Gold for free. So your annual renewal date is 10/24 and the price you paid is prorated for the remaining 11 months.
