Titleist Linksmaster vs. Gfore Daytona Bag

Does anyone have any experience with these bags leaning towards the linksmaster wanted to see if anyone has used both.

Have a Daytona, seen the Linkmaster a number of times. The Linkmaster is the higher quality bag from a material perspective.

I have been drooling over the Linksmaster thread for some time now here and was lucky enough to bump into one the other day on the floor at my store.  Not sure how it ended up there but I got to see it first hand.  I will say, it is nice, quality seems great.  BUT.... few things I took away from it.. 

 

1.  There is no grab handle.  This may not be a big deal to some and if you aren't going to use this bag for carrying I guess it won't matter.  But it is a nice feature to have when taking the bag off your shoulder and putting it on the ground.  

 

2.  The bag felt much heavier than a few others I looked at in a similar category.  Almost staff bag weight to me.  Again, another feature that makes it great to put on a push cart or riding cart, but maybe not to carry all loaded up.

 

3.  The pockets seemed very tight.  The larger garment pocket on the side, seemed kind of small and difficult to access.  Same goes for the side pocket where the water bottle goes.  It's a peeve of mine with bags when getting access to the inside of the pockets is this difficult. 

 

Other than these 3 things that really stuck out to me, the bag is high quality and looks great.  Ultimately, I passed on it even though I knew this might be my best chance at getting one right now.  I just couldn't justify spending that kind of money on a bag like that that I may be more frustrated with in the end.  

 

The bag that stuck out to me was the Vessel Lite.  I kind of wish I bought that one instead of the Vessel Sunday bag I got, but I may exchange it anyway.  The GFore bag seems like high quality, though I'm not much a fan of the way it looks but I have a feeling it will be a much friendlier bag to deal with than the Linksmaster overall.

I will say the Daytona has a better top, decently light, and the new dual straps are comfortable.

The GFore branding alone would be enough to keep me from buying that bag. Looks like Vessel manufactured it for them, pretty similar to the VLX.

@dillardiv totally agree. GFore stuff is incredibly offensive looking. It is like the axe bodyspray of golf fashion. The one positive thing I will say about the GFORE bag is that it has a 5 way top which, to me, is ideal.

I don't like the branding of their shirts/hats/bags, but they are the most comfortable golf shoes I have ever worn and I think the style of the gallivanters is terrific.

I'll second that.  I could see how some might see their product as obnoxious but their shoes are some of the best I've worn in years for comfort and quality of materials

Thanks for the info everyone I decided to go with the linksmaster I preferred the two tone look and the gfore was just a little too flashy for me.
