Looks odd to see Rory without a hat. It's hot and humid as hell there in July...many of the Japanese men I played with used umbrellas as did the caddies.

Finnish commentary, other is Mikko Korhonen's coach, not sure who the other one is. GolfTV has english commentary without commercials but not sure who they have.

Propably not. Conditions are best players could ask for. Bit of wind and we will see separation.

yeah they are not very good, the Aussies have a good one. Otherwise pretty bland

So I went searching for an actual leaderboard which should have taken 15 seconds not 60 (I want my golf now!) and finally found on on Golf Channel's website - my only takeaway is that I noticed GC also lists the betting odds for each Olympic player - yuck! 

 

Tried to stay up and watch but Rory and Morikawa and Thomas seemed stalled out (did see P. Reed make a magical sand shot), can't figure out what I think about the course they were on, seemed like a putting contest and I fell asleep.  I'll try to get into it more tonight maybe.

 I went looking for the results too on the nbc olympics site (also looking for live golf), and noticed the same.  Leaderboard was buried.  Should be front page now not Rahm testing + for coronas.  At this juncture that is old news.

I wish that the Olympics were for amateurs only in all the sports possible.  

 

We have enough events for professionals, especially in golf, and those events are becoming less and less special.

 

And, they want to add a 5th major?

I thought it was actually better than their standard coverage, which is saying something.

Everything’s for money in sports now. Tradition or the actual product on the field doesn’t matter anymore.  Look how they have destroyed college football with NIL and potential conference realignment. They’ve ruined MLB and NFL playoffs with adding teams and a regular season game (NFL) so TV networks get more games to bombard you with commercials. It’s really sad. I had all the major sports packages (Sunday Ticket, League Pass, Extra Innings/MLBtv) for years. I went 17 years without missing a single game of the NFL team I root for, would go

to 20-25 regular season MLB games a year. Haven’t been to a game in 3 years, haven’t watched a single MLB game this year, didn’t watch a single NBA game in the last 2.5 years, didn’t watch a second of NHL and don’t subscribe to any of the packages anymore and haven’t for 3 NFL seasons now.  College sports are all that I follow now and I am close

to the verge of checking out of that now too. Why are they asking me for donations to support “student athletes” when these “student athletes” are making more money than I make now?
