Not positive what FPO means. Guessing it means For Print Only? Like it still can change? Nothing really new with irons from the catalog. Guessing whatever irons are new are still TBD.

Late to the party, but FPO = For Placement Only. They’re placeholder images and will very, very likely be different for that actual model.

Been playing Cobra woods since the Bio Cell days. Can’t wait for these to come to retail.

Was told by a rep there will be 3 Forged Tech irons this year. Top line and sole width slightly thinner than previous years.

1: One Length FT

2: Standard FT

3: FT X "stronger lofts"

Maybe it’s just Cobra’s marketing ploy, but the fact that they’ve got Kyle and Bryson in the fold is very intriguing. Seems like Cobra listens to their players more than any other OEM, so will be interesting to see how the new driver performs.

I think I’m most excited for what they are coming out with over any other manufacturer.

Slippery slope given How BAD poo poo’d the Rad and didn’t game it hardly at all in favor of his old LTD.
Making clubs to fit them will hardly fit the masses.

Talked with a few of the local fitters in my area. They haven’t even seen the Cobra reps yet. They have typically been visited by the reps at this point. Sounds like they won’t even have stock till Feb-Mar. bummer.

im going to switch to the new one lengths this year from my P790’s. Guess I’ll be playing them a bit longer.

Totally understand that view. Maybe they’ve incorporated some of what worked with the LTD into this with newer tech. The LS version is going to fit a very niche player, and I fit into that niche. I’m mid 170s ball speed and spin the heck out of the driver, so I’m looking for something to knock that down. Excited to try this one and see how it performs.

Quit hitting down on it 😉

sounds like it may fit you. I’m the exact opposite. I’m around 130-133 ball speed with a +3-4* aoa and sometimes have problems spinning it enough.

Really interested in seeing the new forged tec. I'm still playing the originals and nothing has swayed me in the last 3 years to change. Saw in this thread there may be a "X" version or stronger lofts. The current model 7i is 29.5° so they must be really strong or they weakened the new (standard) model a bit. I'm guessing that's a long shot but would be a interesting move.

ZX 3w Riptide/Cobra radspeed motore F3

I feel like this needs to be the year that they really commit to one length. With all the Bryson publicity I’m even intrigued and going to give the one length a try. Just waiting for my local fitter to tell me when they get them in. Going to be a potential pivot year for Cobra.

That's would I would love to see, a closer to standard lofted version of the forged tec irons kind of like the P770 to the P790.
