True that is.

In recent history we had Lydia, Minjee, Ariya, Brooke, etc sitting at the top or near the top of the WAGR.

I don't think we see many young Korean gals on the WAGR because many who have talent don't stay Am for long and head onto the Jump Tour, Dream Tour and eventually the KLPGA if they make it.

I've always said....the KLPGA is the 'real' developmental tour for the LPGA not the Symetra tour...the talent on the KLPGA is far deeper than the Symetra tour.

Well, that was certainly exciting. Not what I would call clutch play down the stretch, but when you have three winless players I guess you can expect a few hiccups. Jennifer laying up in the rough, and then dumping one? Sheesh. Yes, the coverage was awful. There were only three players realistically in the hunt, and we didn't get to see all their shots because they were cutting over to the men. Oy. Ever heard of replay?

Solid putting by Pajaree down the stretch. Don't know what happened on her tee shots on the 18th, but she recovered. They were correct in saying that she's been trending nicely. 'Not really sure why she scored a triple on the 6th. They didn't show what happened after she hit her shot after taking the drop for an unplayable. I don't believe she was penalized. As long as she declared the ball as unplayable before lifting it there is no penalty, as one is not required to mark a ball within the relief area. (Rule 14.1.a - "When a ball is lifted to take relief under a Rule, the player is not required to mark the spot before lifting the ball."

Emma had this one, but her putter turned cold. A nice four under on the front, but three costly bogies in four holes on her back nine. She's been off the radar for most of her professional career. Not sure how many times she'll be in this position.

Oh, Jennifer. I thought that she might actually hold steady on a Sunday for a change. Her layup in the rough was bad. Not firing for the middle of the green to more or less guarantee a playoff spot was worse.

it was tough to watch kupcho play herself out of it...

Her bogie putt on the final hole was clutch, though. That earned her an additional $10k.

Rahm had to WD at Memorial with a 6 shot lead heading into Sunday...so why is Reto allowed to play?

not sure if this answers your question... the article/link fully explains it -- so comprehensively i had to re-read it...

Atthaya keeps getting close. Only a matter of time I do believe.

Nice week for Sydnee. She's played in only four events this year, and missed the cut in the previous three. First top 10 since June 2016.

Muni had a solid week. 11T was her best finish on the LPGA.

She did receive two strokes penalty, one more than penalty for unplayable lie.

Could it be because she lifted the ball before she declared the ball as unplayable?

I perked up when they said something along of the lines of that if she ends up in the top 40 for her LPGA starts, she will get her card.  Apparently she is scheduled for two more starts

She's a shoe in for the "next big thing" soon as she gets her LPGA card.
As I said before I liked the fact she is playing the LET getting all the learning curves of tour life out of the way, I think this will really make the transition to the LPGA as smooth as possible.

That would have to be the case. The on-course reporter stated that the rule official said she was lying 3. One for the tee shot. Two for the penalty. Three for the drop. Hitting her fourth. She didn't make it to the green, so her 5th would have been her approach to the green, and I assume she two putted, as we only saw her final putt.

Incredible to hold it together and grind out a win after that.  She has a great attitude on the course

Didn't the TV crew mention that she can earn her card by earning at least as much as the 40th player on the money list? She's earned $408,000 this season. That would put her 31st currently.

I believe...if her Honda winnings are in your $408K...I think they don't count.

Only money earned in full field events with a cut???

Actually, I believe they changed it this year to use the CME points. In past years it was official money. Did they earn CME points at the Honda?

Edit: Just looked it up, and non-members cannot earn CME points. So, if they ditched the official money thingy, not sure how she would qualify for membership. Maybe it's the equivalent of CME points based on finishing position. CME points are awarded at non-cut events. Gotta dig some more.

Same here...my list is quite long.🤣

I think when I see someone who is in contention and I consider a "one and done player" I just hope they choke. I wanna see players who get those top 15's week in and week out, players who can stick around for more than one event.

Speaking of "one and done", Pernilla managed her 3rd top ten since winning the British in 2018...Yes, I rooted against her big time, big time...

No, sponsor's invite doesn't receive Race to CME Globe points for a no-cut event.

Additionally, I tried but couldn't find the non-member Top-40 category on the Priority Manual anymore.
