So you think you collect Camerons

Recommended Posts

This is my Pro Platinum 33 350, that I sent to Golf Garage, waited 5 months for their Rusted finish, and when I got it shared time with a similar one in Black Oxide in play. This is according  to memory 351g after all was set and done. It is a putter to be gamed, you can set it on a wall but it won't be happy. It has a Ping grip, as all great putters do, and the original headcover that, as you can see, after 20 years, is in great shape (I played it with another headcover).

Repeat, this is a gamer. $570 before I get it to the bay. I ship with signature required.

Continental US only. No trades at this time. Please PM me any questions you may have. Paypal is [email protected].

I follow the guidelines and report suspicious activity and requests. I have been a WRXer since 2011 with lots of feedback here and the bay.

If you see my putter you'd think it came from a PGA player's bag. Easily the most professional and tool looking putter finish.

Does the rusted finish usually take 5 months to get?

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

High waiting list for Golf Garage at that time. I have used other services for other putters, but for rusted they are the best ones. It is not as simple as taking plating away and let it rust, believe me. So time has work very favorable to it after I received, as it  is not as dark as it was, it is more like Spieth's putter.

Sweet putter!  Any changes from stock length, loft and lie (assuming 33" length, standard loft and lie)?

33.25, 351g, it is 71 lie, 3.75 loft last I checked

Any idea if or how adding 3/4"-1" in length would effect the feel?  I have only done this on putters with weight inserts that have then been swapped to try and mimic the factory specs.

It will slightly drop swing weight. But I had the same 33.25 on a 340g head and the difference was not very perceptible. JMTC

Linkerpan - Not sure your statement is accurate on swingweight.  Whenever you shorten a club, you lose swing weight, when you lengthen you will add swingweight. If you look at Camerons with the weights, 35 inch putters have had traditionally 5 gram, 34, 10 gram and 33 with 15 gram weights.  I would say if you add an inch to a putter you are increasing the SW by a fair amount.  I believe the formula is 1 inch add equals increase in 6 swing weight.  It still comes down to feel.  You grip on the putter can change off of it as well.

I was thinking on the fact that Scotty classics came 33-350; 34-340; 35-330 speak on its own as he was looking to keep same swing weight. Any way, I took the putter to my scale and made an experiment. See pics below.
when I added 2 quarter coins at the end mimicking an extension somehow, the swing weight goes from an original Around D1 to a C7.
