So what exactly did you contribute with your reply?  I saw that paragraph but I took the time to read the whole thing, you honed in on only one thing and thought you would be cool.

The dictionary gave up because so many use it wrong- eerily similar to everyone using a loft /lie machine wrong now makes it okay to accept the sub standard workmanship.

Keep in mind, I live in a small city in Canada so my options are severely limited to what you would have in a giant Metro area.  Golf Town doesn't even align grips properly so they are out.  (I do grips myself now).

Based on everything that occurred up to this point, I felt pretty comfortable.  However, according to you I still didn't perform proper due diligence and I am to blame because I didn't specify that I didn't care what condition my clubs were returned in.  

 

Selling me a set at wholesale would not be considered as compensation.  Compensation implies rewarding for a loss.  Compensation does not imply that the "receiver" need to use his own funds and time (sell damaged set) to feel whole.  This would cost my course nothing.

 

 

I think it would be hard to argue that you didn't do enough "diligence" here. 

If you're cool and non-confrontational about it while owning that you're of the pickier sort and the GM is also cool then a replacement at cost seems like it would be a great solution. I hope that works out. 👍

Get a quote from mizuno for resurfacing the clubs and then request the "hack shop" to cover all or part of the cost.

Some that have done the same adjustments say it is normal/acceptable. Others that have done the same adjustments say it is not normal/acceptable. You’re not accepting that it’s normal. (So I suppose you asked initially just hoping it wasn’t considered acceptable so that you felt better about complaining???) So after all that back and forth (5 pages) it just comes down to how you feel about it. And that’s obvious. So do the best you can to get the most compensation you can.
