Played Mid Pines for the first time time on my most recent Pinehurst trip. I really enjoyed it. Very fun track.

Clubhouse and hotel looked like they are about to fall down though. Don't know if they have any other/better facilities for members.

That’s what we thought about the clubhouse. We went to Pine Needles to eat, and it was so crummy looking, we walked out. We thought they should tear it down, and start from scratch. The people we talked to at MP/PN we’re very nice. I really thought I’d be happier there than Pinehurst.

Same we had originally planned to have lunch there after our round, but after seeing it we just left and ate in Pinehurst Village instead.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. The bar at PN and the back deck at MP are two of my favorite lunch spots in the Carolinas.

A cold beverage and a MP club on the Mid Pines back deck or a cold beverage and a Bell Burger at the Pine Needles bar are pretty good gets.

Mabye we will give them another chance next time.  It's a shame the inside doesn't come close to the outside. They need a big update. It just felt like a very cool, relaxed place. If I was planning a Pinehurst trip, I think MP/PN would be my choice.

It's supposed to look rustic.  The U.S. Women's Open is upcoming at Pine Needles and the USGA wouldn't choose a dump.  Across the street, they have some demolition work to do.  An adjacent building no longer used and some old 50's-60's style motel rooms need demolished and cleared (may have been done already).  The main facilities at Mid-Pines are fine.

The back deck at Mid Pines is the single best spot to watch golfers finish up a round.  Good vantage point overlooking the last, and a tough green to putt.  Makes it fun to gamble on whether players will 3-putt or not.

I understand rustic, but dirty, worn carpet is not rustic.

Lol "rustic"

It is at least 20 years overdue for a renovation.

Great golf, but the facilities need a major investment. Maybe that is next after the Southern Pines reno.

The food at the Pine Needles lounge is top notch. We ate there all the time when my wife and I lived in Pinehurst. Crushed many a Bell Burger!

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
