Hogan Apex Reshaft?

I'm sure this has been asked/answered before but, I have an old set of Hogan Apex Forged irons in great shape. They have some old regular flex shafts on them and I want to reshaft.  How do you get that small pin out of the bottom of the shaft that secures the iron to the head?  I've read it should have 2 sides but these only have 1 side showing.  Any help would be appreciated.

Do you want to save the shafts?  Two approaches to take depending on your answer.

 

1.  Save.  You'll need a long drill bit that extends down the shaft.  Drill through the pin.  The reminder will tap out easily with a small punch (3/32").  

 

2.  Not save.  Chop the shaft ~ 4" above the hosel.  Enough of a stub to get a grip with pliers.  Then proceed as above drilling through the pin.  Heat and remove the stub.

 

If the installed shafts are identifiable as Apex 3's (regular) and in good shape, may be worth your time to try and save them.  There's a market for Apex shafts.  You likely be able to sell them to offset some of the expense in the reshaft.  If Legend or Vector, not worth saving or attempting to sell.
