Paint for paintfill?

Some of the paintfill on my wedges has worn off and I want to rejuvenate them.

What kind of paint should I use to reapply the paintfill?

Thanks.

Tamiya is my vote.  I've tried everything from paint pens (Montana and others), testors l and nail polish and the best finish was always Tamiya.

From what I understand from research, Tamiya is water based and can be cleaned up quickly with alcohol or acetone (they recommend cleaning brushes with soap and water)...model master and testors are enamels, and it's harder to clean them up.

Tamiya is much more flowable, enamels are more viscous.  Make sure you put a thin film of alcohol or acetone in the area before you apply Tamiya and it will flow/run evenly into the area...almost like self leveling concrete.  Just do it heavy 1st coat and don't try to do follow up coats, because it often will look wonky unless you let it cure for a couple of days.

Don't play them for a few days if they are on an exposed area like a sole.  Takes a while for these model paints to full cure hard

Have fun and good luck!  Lots of good tutorial threads and videos out there.  Just giving you my 2 cents.  YMMV

I used Testors model paint (oil based) I ordered on amazon.  I re-did my Bettinardi putter over a year ago, and it still looks good.  You definitely want an oil based paint, or else it won't hold up very long.

Nail polish always seems to wear off very quickly when painting the numbers on my wedges.

Possibly improper prep or wrong polish.  I remove remaining color with acetone and scratch awl which roughs up the surface for the new color.  Apply good quality nail polish and let dry overnight and you should be good to go.
