I know timing wise this is hard to get an answer for. But by any chance has anyone with experience with JPX921 Tour hit the new T100?

im looking at new irons and was all but set on the JPX.  But all these pics and videos of the new T100 has me ready to change my mind.

Reading through your experience with your Miuras I’d personally opt for the T100 as the offset will be a bit lower. I found the offset blending on the 921 tour didn’t work for me. Another idea would be to try trading your MC 501 for some TC201. That’s what I’m playing and the offset is definitely much less visually compared to the 501. They’re incredible irons.

That was my experience with the prior model as well, the short iron offset especially.  Played them for about a month and from 8-pw primarily I was struggling to start the ball on line and control the flight (a little left and high).  Other than that I thought they were excellent irons.  Switched to the mp's and it immediately solved the issue.  not sure how much was mental or physical.

8-PW for me as well. Great sticks. Don’t love the sole as I take some earth and the offset blending in the short irons wasn’t great for me. To be honest it wasn’t my favourite in MP20 either but certainly better. It was more of a shaping thing.

Thanks guys. Went up to local golf store. Hit about 20 shots with the t100 and was love at first sight. I truly loved it.  Never even hit the jpx921.  Soooooo left with a new order of T100

Bumping this to see if anyone has something to add. I have a set of both inbound (long story) and want to hear some more from those that have hit both.

I currently play the 2021 t100s bent 1 degree weak - and was also experimenting with a set of 921 tour. I like the 921 tour but IMO it’s not anything special. It doesn’t have that MP feel (I know it’s not supposed to) but it also doesn’t have the forgiveness of something like that 921 forged (Also, I know it’s not supposed to). The 2021 T100s bent 1 weak for me has been excellent. Forgiveness is subjective but I’d probably give it to the T100s, even if just by a small margin. I play with KBS Tour stiff shafts, for reference. Like I said - I don’t think the 921 Tour is a bad iron, but I would probably go MP20 MMC if I wanted to play something “comparable” from Mizuno with better feel

I have not extensively played the JPX 921.  I did demo them and they felt great, easy to hit.  I also hit the T100 and T100s this past week at a fitting against the ZX7 and P770.  I thought the T100 and T100s are some of the better feeling Titleist irons I have ever hit but I did not find them as forgiving as the P770.  They do look fantastic and I could see myself gaming them but at a time in my life where I could use a little more help, the P770 were just too good so I passed on the T100.  Seems like a really great iron though, I liked it more than I expected to.  The T100s kept up with the P770 but brought in a left miss that I wasn't seeing with the KBS Tour/770 combo.  I guess hitting the T100 with the KBS Tour might be worth a shot though.

I’m also interested in this, and would love to hear any additional thoughts on the soles/turf interaction.

I have the JPX 921 SEL, which is the lefty set of a 4/5 Forged and 6-GW Tour. I have a steep-ish swing and am a digger, and that’s my only complaint about the JPX 921s. I know Titleist hyped the new soles quite a bit, and that the pre-worn leading edges they’ve used have been popular.

I think it will also come down to sole design.  The new sole of the t100 are really interesting and seem to make a ton of sense.  I mean, why not incorporate some of Bob’s ideas into iron design.  They definitely have me intrigued.

The sole of the 921 tours seem a little more flat than rounded and prob have less bounce and camber.  If you are shallow the tours may work for you.

I can get steep and take some dirt with my irons so I need a little bounce and camber.  When I had the 921 tours they felt and performed great on pure strikes.  When I got steep they really grabbed on me.  Just my personal experience.

I hit both side by side in a fitting. The numbers were fairly similar but much to my surprise, I preferred the feel of the T100. The sole did work much better for me as well as it felt the club got through the turf much more cleanly. For what it’s worth, my AOA was only -3.5. Lastly, I preferred the look of the T100. Needless to say, that’s what I ordered. I’m coming from the ZX7s which I also really liked but I just like trying the newest stuff and being a lefty limits my ability to try clubs on course as my lefty friends aren’t equipment nerds like me.

I did an iron fitting recently and actually jpx 921 tour and Titleist t100 are the final/top two options. They both feel good and look gorgeous. The launch and spin numbers are similar. But I feel that t100 is slightly more forgiving in misses; this shows better results in distance and lateral dispersions.

The Jpx tours are nice, but I found 2 things that I didn’t care for

1- the had the largest blade length I tried, very rounded toe also. Not my cup of tea.

2 very disappointed in the sound and feel.

t100, latest version, was preferable in every aspect to me

Makes sense to hear folks say T100 is more forgiving, given the amount of tungsten used in the head design. I was close to pulling the trigger on JPX921 Tour until T100 came out. Like a fish swimming towards a shiny object, I caved and went for it. Estimated delivery first week of October. Flush shots with JPX921, T100, and my current MP-18sc all felt great and produced nearly identical ball flights / speed, as expected with Mizuno and Titleist irons in this category.

You guys are all telling me EXACTLY what I was hoping to hear. The T100 looks better from all aspects and if it is more forgiving and feels as good, I made the right decision canceling my JPX 921 tour order. Two more days until The T100's arrive!
