I’m still playing my 54D and that has been my best wedge all year, from anywhere. This is hands down my favorite Vokey grind. 
 

The 58M was okay for me, but in the last two weeks I put my Low Bounce K back in the bag and really like that over the M grind. It has the same measured bounce as the M but the fuller sole is a bit better for me personally. It doesn’t get in the way off of tighter lies the way I thought it would.

I played the M for years and switched to the D last season.  If you play in wetter conditions or you have a steeper angle of attack there is no better wedge, in my opinion.  And as someone mentioned above, it really isn't bad at all on tight lies either.  Obviously not an M or L, but way better than most would expect.

Well done some practice with it and it seems nice off tight lies to get the ball airborne with the heel relieve as expected, out the rough the current bounce helps a bit and ball popped up nicer, weighty feeling of the vokeys give me a bit more confidence than RTX in rough.

 

I could probably do with about 10 bounce on this , the leading edge still sits a bit higher than I thought it would.

Sounds like you may be looking for an M grind then, at least during times of year when your conditions are relatively firm.  The D is basically a higher bounce M.

Yes, I tried a friends M. 

 

Conditions as firm as we'll be here at the moment so its workable with D grind.
