My wife was a 3 sport athlete in college, is picked before me in almost every co-Ed sport we play, but can’t hang my jockstrap when it comes to 18 holes.

For 2 of my 4 rounds I played at Bandon this past week, I got grouped with a couple and in BOTH of them, the wife was far and away the better player.

 

At Old Mac yesterday, it was a younger couple - I'd guess early 30s - and man, she was a fairways and greens machine. No idea what she scored but every hole, she split the fairway and/or always at least hit the green ... though at that spot, getting it to hold is tough.

I got paired with a couple over the weekend.. Husband is a good 6'2", wife is maybe 5'2".. We tee off, she proceeds to the ladies tee's but grabs her husbands g410 and proceeds to hit BOMBS into the center of the fairway.. she maybe missed 3 fairways all round...it must be hard for him..🤣

I am getting my wife some pretty nice clubs for Christmas this year in hopes she will play with me again. She won't ever be competitive, but it would be nice for her to try.
