I think so, it’s those or Gen 4 blacks for me upcoming

One of PXG's "home" locations is my club here in Portland.  I had waited 4 months for my TaylorMade p7MB's and had hit a bunch of the PXG's during that time.  Finally came around to purchasing a set - it's been the first time I've not played blades pretty much since I started golfing.  I hit the 0211 ST's quite well and tried the 0311 ST's as well.  In the end, I ended up with the 0311 T's as it was the best combination of good looks (I dislike a lot of offset/too long a blade), low strike forgiveness and feel.  Figure if I was going to add some "help" to the irons, that the hollow body ones would be best.  It came down to the T's and the 0211 ST's which were close - the most forgiving blades I've hit, not nearly as soft as Mizuno/P7MB's but hard to ignore the data.  Went with the Xtreme dark finish on the 0311T's as I really liked the contrasting leading line and you can definitely see the ball contact point as well after a shot.

I don’t like that they don’t match up the weight/screw color to the club head color.  I know it’s to make it stand out more and the chrome club head with the darkness weight screw looks decent.  However I don’t like the darkness head with the chrome weight.

Can anyone comment on their physical size???? I don't have the luxury of seeing these in person or demo'ing them and haven't seen any comparison images with different irons online. Is there another common head you would say comparable to size, blade length....FYI current gamers are T100's....thanks!

They're the same size as my Gen3 T with smaller soles. T is same size as my Ping S55 which I posted photos of a long time ago in some thread on this site. IMO, they're probably pretty close to T100 in size.

Okay thanks for the insight....I played the T's in the Gen 1 and Gen 2 versions, so I should feel pretty at home then!

I played the Gen 3 T IRONS since they came out and now have moved to the GEN 4 ST’s.   I was really close to buying the gen3 ST but just could not get over the price tag.  The gen4 ST’s are outstanding but do require a good swing where the T model does cover up some high face or toe hits.   I have always gravitated to a blade look much more than a bigger iron head.

I am pretty solid ball striker (so I think)...don't typically miss hit irons. My issue with the T's was they didn't play like a blade as all, forgiving yes, but working the ball and flighting was bit inconsistent for my liking..and wasn't crazy about the sole/turf interaction. So I moved away from them, but thought I might give the ST's a go. I keep telling myself I shouldn't be playing blades anymore, but I generally score better with them for some reason (though I am liking the T100's for most part...might be the best compromise I have come across so far)

We sound like we have similar games and results.   My ball striking has never been a real problem for me - it is usually my putting or losing focus for a hole or two per round that kills me.  The T's are great irons but you do have to manipulate the club more drastically to get results vs. the ST.   The ST's are definitely much easier to move the ball and flight but still provide plenty of forgiveness.    Based off my signature; I am still using the Gen 3 T 4 iron but really considering moving to the ST 4 iron as well since I hit the 5 and 6 irons very well with minimal issues.    I really think the 5 iron with that new cavity design is a terrific club that provides a lot of forgiveness for a low iron.

Trust me - i think about "playing blades' comment often but each time I hit the course, I can manage and play this blade with no issues and my scores are definitely not impacted because of the type of iron head I am using.    Heck, I have a set of Gen 4 P irons that I have played with but struggle with them constantly.   I believe it is tied to the offset and/or wide bottom just does not fit my swing.   I got the P's through a trade and they are currently waiting in my back up bag for my son to outgrow his current set.     I definitely hit the ST's much better than the P's in the Gen 4 lineup.

Decided to spray paint the silver center screw weights...all the existing center weights worked with the new shafts to get me the desired swingweight.

Used:  VHT Epoxy Paint, Satin Black SP652

The color matches the finish on the iron well.   High temp and all weather epoxy paint that should last in this location on the head.

Of the eight weights, two I had to use a butane torch to loosen the Loctite Red that it seemed was used.

I placed them back with Loctite Blue which is easier to remove.

Most excellent feedback MPG...pretty much exactly what I needed and wanted to know. My conclusions are the same as yours for sure...offset (notably on the P's have gamed those too) is an issue and the sole width P's and T's as you eluded to I think played the largest roll. My scoring is usually dictated by my tee game above anything else.

Great news on the ST's going to call the fitter today to discuss them further.....what shafts did you end up going with in your ST's? I am toying with the idea of going graphite / SF.

When I ordered these from PXG, I went with the Elevate Tour XS shafts since I knew I was going to reshaft them immediately and the elevate tours were no up charge.    I had the Modus 115x shafts installed but after a club champion session, I went with the Mitsubishi IOT  120 and it has been an outstanding fitting and perfect match for me.    The graphite shafts help with my elbow pains but just overall consistency is off the charts.

I know these had a high price upon release, but with the price drop last week I wonder why these don’t get more talk. With the tungsten weighting, I would think these would play similar to some CBs and be more forgiving than a typical MB. Would expect these would be more forgiving than the 0211 ST. The Gen 4 0311 ST sure does look good. Had them in hand last week and while the sole is thinner, the blade length is pretty close to the T series.

Has anybody reshafted these with a .355 taper, and if so, any issues/advice?  PXG customer service said they would send a shaft centering piece, curious if anyone has any experience with these?

PXG irons take .355 taper and .370 parallel tip shafts. Golfworks sells ferrules for the .355 which also come with the centering piece and .370 without. I've heard varying feedback on whether or not it's needed since the ferrules have sleeves.
