Storable Garage Simulator Planning

I am looking for photos of simulator setups in garages that can be broken down and stored for parking when not in use. I have a decent sized two car garage with a single door. My wife parks her car in there and I have a car that essentially lives in one side. I have the itch and am looking into simulator setups. I haven't fully gotten into details yet but am thinking about actual feasibility of this working in the space I have available.

The area I can use is roughly 14' wide and 20' long from front of my toolbox/workbench to the door. Ceiling is over 10' high but I have garage door opener and tracks just about 8.5' of height. (Didnt clean before photos) 🤢

I usually see people hitting into the garage toward back wall as opposed to towards the door. My thought would be to hit toward the door from the back of the garage to allow computer etc. to be stored in the back cabinet. This makes planning a system that can easily store seem a little more difficult and I worry about the track. Side and top netting is definitely something I want to protect my car. How likely is the door track to be hit with a bad strike?

As I mentioned I am in the early stages and just trying to figure out if this can work. Two of our friends that would join us are left handed so please keep that in mind. I think that means i need mevo +.

Is anyone using a setup like this that I could see?

Are you OK with having a hitting net that hangs straight down?  I am building a setup right now, should have everything set up in a week but my plan is to hang a 10' wide x 10' tall x 10' deep netting upside down with garage hooks.  I am going to run 3/4" pvc pipe in a U shape on the top of the net and the bottom of the net.  When I want to store it, I will simply fold up the bottom portion of the net so it will essentially hang down just like a hitting screen.  It will go from a 10' x 10' x 10' deep to about a 10' x 10' x 6" deep.  Essentially turning my setup into a giant movie screen.    I will take pics and post them when the setup is complete, my netting should be here on Friday.

Sounds epic. Can't wait to see. Debating building a shed to put a simulator so smaller space ideas get me excited.

I'm building a garage setup for a house we're building. We purchased Par2Pro's Stealth impact screen, which can be retracted up to the ceiling:

I'm in the process of ordering one as well. The par2pro team is great to work with, and help verify all measurements, and recommended the ideal solution for my space. I don't know what I'm more excited about, the actual simulator, or a remote control to raise and lower the screen 🙂 .

Hope you post pics. I hear you. I creep this forum all day just admiring people's set up

That retractable screen looks like its a bit of a pain to set up tbh.  Too many extra pieces to add if its something you are going to do daily, it took them 10 mins to get the thing setup and hitting balls.  Not sure I would use that setup in a garage, I would certainly consider that setup in a bonus room or loft setting though

How important is it to have the screen taught?  I was going to let it hang from the ceiling and just use zip ties to connect pvc pipe on each side without connecting the pvc together.
