I’m very much into naked top line putters but have recently fallen back in love with my 2018 SC Laguna select which obviously has a black flange line.

Has anyone sent into the SC custom shop to have the flange line painted in their grey paint? Does it hide the line pretty well? Is it a waste? Thank you for the help!

Just use acetone or citristrip and remove the paint in the line

works better than a grey line, and you don't have to send it in

No need to send it in for how long it takes and what it costs just to do paint.

As others have said, just remove the paint yourself and save the time and expense of sending it in.  Easy to do.
If you are in need (or want) a new grip or headcover, that's different.  I believe they are still doing a long time promotion that if you purchase a premium grip and headcover, they will change the paint fill for free.  It must be one of the "premium" grips and headcovers though, not one of the standard models.  So it won't be  inexpensive - even with the "free" paintfill. (plus tax and shipping both ways).

Just removing the paint is probably the best way to get it to blend in.  If you really want to get crazy they will weld over for you.  I think it used to be an additional $100 on top of the cost of a full restoration.  If you wanted to change the dots and get a lie adjustment anyway, then it might be worth sending it in and getting a grip, headcover, and new paint.
Llast I heard, turnaround time wasn't the best.  Probably getting worse as COVID spikes occur and California is heading towards more lockdowns.  Good luck.

Unless something has drastically changed, the CS wont weld over lines.
Would be something if they did.

Yes, for an extra $100 the CS will weld over initials , but not site lines or site dots.

I think they bumped it up to 150 on top of full resto, and yes that was my experience as well

Hmmm.......I thought for sure they did, or at least used to back in the day, because I seem to remember reading a long complaint thread about the way it came out (poorly) over on TCC many years ago.
But hey, if they don't do it, then they don't do it.  Can't say that I blame them.  Hard to get the flange to look like nothing was there.
Wonder why they won't weld over site dots though.  Seems it would be easier than welding over initials on a milled face.  Oh well..........
Thanks for the correction fellas!

Unless something has changed in the last week or so, Cameron is doing no full putter refinishes for now. Has been that way a few months now. Other than paint and grips, you are out of luck. Grips are easy and Wal Mart has every color nail polish you can imagine for putter paint. You aren't hitting a putter 300 yards and I've never seen nail polish fail on a putter. I know large boutique companies who use nail polish on irons and wedges if you prep everything first.

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
