Can you guys that have this bag speak a little more about the nylon material? how durable is it? how does it look when the pocket is stuffed with items? from the pictures it apears like a very thin material.

It’s quite thick.  At least 2x thicker than SM bag material.  I feel it’s far more durable than the vinyl of the normal Player 3.

Ordered a 2nd bag for my dad. The magnetic pocket is crooked 😬. Hopefully @VESSEL Golf can get me a replacement. Waiting to hear back from Customer Service 🙏

They’ve already taken care of it. Bag is on the way back to them at no cost to me and a replacement will be sent as soon as the compromised bag arrives at their warehouse.

How waterproof/resistant is this bag?  Given a scale from a StaDry to my current bag (which soaks through when it is misty out), where does it land?

 

Also, is the non-DXR version more or less waterproof?

Any updates as to how the DXR material is holding up after 6 months or so of use? Any feedback would be appreciated!

There is a DXR in the Player III and in the VLS models. They are both the DXR fabric however look slightly different.

So far so good.  I really like the DXR material.  I have it in both my Player 3 and VLS.  It's durable, cleans up easy, and is noticeably lighter.   I have zero wear issues so far.

I currently have the 14-way Player 2.0 stand bag and like it very much. With that said, I’ve definitely been eyeing the 6-way Player 3 in DXR. I’m very torn on the 14-way vs 6-way. Always thought I would love 14-way, but I sometimes get annoyed in the middle of playing that I have to find the exact slot for that specific club and think to myself that the 6-way might be a better fit for my needs. Much quicker to find the compartment that the club belongs in and throw it in with the rest. Would also be nice to have a bag a little lighter than my Player 2. I do think I would miss having my putter in its own slot, but it may not be too bad having the putter in the same compartment as my 54 and 58 degree wedges. Does anyone have any thoughts on the 14-way vs 6-way specifically with the Player 3?

Personally, I moved away from 14 way tops about 2 years ago.  I personally love the 6 way top of the Player 3.  It has as little club grab as I think is possible for a stand bag with a hinging base.  The dividers really do a nice job, and it has ample room.  There is plenty of room if you are taking a new club or two out on the course with you to try, or if you have an Orange Whip or something like that to help loosen up before the round.

 

Personally, I keep my putter in the top right with my hybrid.  My layout looks as such and I am very satisfied with it.

It all depends on your preferences but it's quite possible to put your putter in its own slot in the 6-way bag.  3 slots with 3 clubs each, 2 slots with 2 clubs each, and 1 slot with the putter.

Thanks guys. Probably going to be selling my 14-way Player 2 and get the Player 3 DXR. Anyone else have any feedback on 14-way vs 6-way on these that may have tried or used both?
