Think that would of been more effective if she hadn't eyeballed to her left.

Still took a nice whack to the side of the face.   😃

I think I took Dallas and Chicago. I missed the over on the steeler game. That sucks.

But that’s 2-1 this week. Unless I was naked, I couldn’t be happier. After beer and golf, this is my emotional pinnacle.

And when your 2-1 record this week is added to your overall record it makes you a stellar 12-3-1 for the season.

week 4 -  P3P 10-2-1          Chicago             Dallas                  Pitts/GB OVR

I didn't do the entire groups results because that is G1's job, but I am almost certain you remained at the top of the heap P3P. So.........................

As we are about to wrap up the first complete month of this 2021 NFL Picks season I say Hooray for P3P and his savvy prognosticating skills.

Congratulations are in order to our leader from Montana.

Mrs NCLancer and I ventured about 40 minutes east to South Granville Country Club in Creedmoor, NC on Saturday afternoon.  Weather was partly cloudy, 80 with a slight breeze...just beautiful.  We have never played there so it was a learning experience.  Nice bermuda greens and informative granite hole signs were some of the plusses.

Played a mix of tees around 5900 yards

51 + 45 = 96

36 putts

9-14 fwys with 4 missed right and 1 pull left

Played okay even though the score did not reflect it but now that I know some of the lines and some of the nuances I am sure I'd lower my score if we ever play there again.  Standing on the tee box not knowing what was "over the hill" didn't inspire much confidence!  My GPS watch picked up the course but the numbers were way off on most holes as 400 yard Par 3's and 850 yard Par 4's were surprisingly not correct.

It was a bit of a drive and we have many better choices closer to home.  Still glad we got another new course on my list...I think I'm around 160 courses in 12 states.

What did you hit for the 400 yd par 3?  Did you lay up?

I played once this weekend on the home course.  Its short, so bear with me here.  It is about 6550, but at elevation and low humidity it plays shorter than a course in NC, that is for sure.

Made the turn 1 over, this bad back thing is not great, but I am seeing some golf improvement.  On the front I hit all seven fairways and one par 3.  Made a couple of saves to stay at even par through 4 when I had the one bogey with a short putt missed (5' or so) on a chip that was really quite good.

The back wasn't so spectacular, going 5 over with a double.

Now, the surprising part.  Generally, regardless of moniker here, I am a pretty solid putter.  I hit 9 greens on the day, had 8 makeable birdie putts ranging in distance from 3.5' to 20' (and this number might actually be too far).  The 3.5' was the toughest of the putts since it was a downhill slider.  I walked off all 8 greens with par.  3 lip outs, and all of the second putts given based on proximity.

Shot of the day?  Hit a great drive to 102 yards.  Ball slightly below my feet so the general rule is it will cut a little bit.  I club down because the strike might not be great with the ball 3" or so below my feet.  Thankfully the hole was downhill from my perch so when the ball landed 15 yards in front of me it rolled out quite a bit.  I was lucky the massive divot didn't land in front of the ball and slow down the balls progress.

On the range warming up at my happy place....Links O' Tryon.

Came down solo to take on Mike and the boys. Going out with supreme confidence following my scores last week.

Just now read  Pete' s and Lance's recaps from their rounds over the weekend.

NCL, I too want to know how you attack a 400 yard par 3! Lol Pete asked if you layed up. And you Pete, your last sentence had me howling, but it better  not of jinxed me into hitting a big time fatty today myself. 😜

Probably the worst weekend of football I have ever witnessed. Three teams I follow lost by 10pts total against very tough opponents and should of won each game.

And then there's this.....

0-4 this week. Team didn't show up till second half, to late. Another up TD against the Jets, yeah those Jets,  and lost in OT. And a rather loud   DOINK.

And ohh yeah I'm now  9-7. Edit complete.

I vote Contender

I like it I think Gruden is finally seeing some fruits of his labor with this year's offense. Dereck Carr has and still will be to a degree an undervalued quarterback. Josh Jacobs when healty is an animal and supremely opens up the play action opportunities that really capitalize on their speed on the outside. Edwards Renfrow and Ruggs III are all dangerous and I do agree with you with them being contenders but do you think they can capture an AFC title? Or run it like that the '08 Giants and sneak into the playoffs only to win it all in the end? Personally I have them going to the AFC title game and losing a nail biter.

What would be really cool would be another Bucs, Raiders Super Bowl. Only this time around Gruden is would be on the other sideline. Talk about some bizarre Deja Vu.
