TM TP Hydroblast

Anyone gaming this putter right now? Was looking at the Del Monte 1 and looks pretty good, sort of a stubby/chunky Newport 2 style. The $199 price tag is also kinda nice for a “milled” putter (I know the face has an insert).

I played the Spider Chalk for a hot minute before the X5.5 came out and while the insert was soft, it did seem to putt a nice roll on the ball so I’m definitely eyeing this one. Just wanted to see what kind of feedback people have on this line of putters.

I've got the Del Monte 7.  I can't say that it's changed my life, but I do like the feel and look.  The insert rolls softer than the previous TP models - much closer to a White Hot feel than a milled face.  I did not roll the Chalk so I can't compare the face there, but I can say it feels softer than the original TP, the TP Patina, and the original DJ Spider.  I've got an Odyssey Ten too and it's not quite that soft but getting there.  I like the way the Pure Roll insert rolls the ball more than the Ten with the Microhinge.

I just happened to see a DuPage the other day in a local golf store and rolled a few puts with it on the carpet. I do like that TM have a somewhat reasonable priced alternative to the ever-increasing prices of their mainstream (i.e. Played On TV) models. The DuPage really sets up well for me and puts a good roll on the ball.

I'm not in the market for a putter but if I were to go through a bad spell with my current one that's probably a good option for me to check out. Grip was decent too, nice middle-of-the-road size without being either skinny or super bulky.

It looked me to like they did a good job of tweaking the appearance of the Hydroblast range to make it subtly less "premium" looking while still looking like a quality product. Nice product-line differentiation there, which has always been a strength of Taylormade.

I'm playing the TP Bandon 1 and love it. Played with Spider Black Itsy Bitsy & Spider Chalk previously. The feel on the Bandon is great for me in terms of speed, balance, & weight. Pretty similar to my Black spider but sleeker look. Always keep those putters around, but am really liking this new TP line. The price is a steal for how good they roll.

I did roll the Bandon and am seriously considering buying one.  I am down to one putter right now, can't have that!  I really liked the Spider X navy I had for a minute and when I rolled the Bandon, it reminded me a lot of the Spider in terms of feel, so that's a plus.  Every time I roll a TM insert I am in love with the roll on the ball, it just gets going so quickly it seems.  I'm on the fence with a few putters so I may pull the trigger soon.

Great feedback and this is definitely strengthening my case for a new Del Monte (not to mention I have a $150 credit burning a hole in my pocket). I like the fact that TM has a decent amount of grip options with no upcharge, just a bonus at a $200 price point.

Best feeling TM putter I’ve ever putted with. Debating on pulling the trigger on one.

I know some have commented on the weight of some of these putters being on the light side.  I was at a Golf Galaxy recently and was looking at the hydroblast soto.  So, you know that big box stores usually only put stock options on the floor.  The 35" soto had 2 10g weights in them.  I confirmed with Taylormade that this is the way they come stock in that length for the soto.  It did not feel light to me at all, it had a really great feel/weight to it with those weights.  The grip is awesome, the color scheme is awesome.  The wide blade seemed to be lighter feeling than the soto when you put it down and make a stroke.  I forget, what the weights are in those, the del monte, as stock, but they definitely felt lighter than the soto.  Hope this helps, I think that I will opt for a soto here in the near future, it really is nice looking.

Just got fitted today and the monte 1 turned out to be my most consistent choice with a few small tweaks. I like almost everything about it except for the feel of the insert. It's better than the dull clunk of the white-hot insert but it's not quite the softness of Bettinardi. Curiously, it felt better on long putts than short ones. I think if it were a little bit more feel friendly for me I would have placed the order right away. As is, I'll have to think about it.

I also read somewhere it's a cast club with a "Milled Face". I guess that's the putter equivalent of "forged face" and getting to stamp "forged" on an iron? Not 100% sure

I believe it has a weight kit

Bought the TP Hydroblast Bandon 3 a few weeks ago. I had the problem of pulling close 4-6 footers with my SeeMore blade . For whatever reason, this mallet really helped me square the face through the stroke and I've missed maybe one 3-6 footer in 3 rounds with it. Helped me with tempo too so my lags are ending closer than the were prior.

Averaging right at 31 putt/round last three rounds since buying whereas I'm averaging 32.4 a round this year.

Picked up the hydro blast Soto today and surprised me on the greens in the shop. Puts a great roll on the ball and feels great. Looks sharp as well for a decent price

I won one of these in a tournament a couple weeks back. Nice putter, but not for me. I’m trying to get the pro shop to give me a credit for it against a Scotty 11.5 phantom
