Much better looking than the 2019 version. I never did care for the way the badge with P-790 wrapped around it reminded me of a old car from the 50s.

These obviously are made to blend with the 770s I could see myself with that.

TM has been full of surprises lately.

I kinda like them.  On the fence on that ridge on the back of the top flange, but if it helps LOWER flight, by raising COG I'm ok with it.

 

UDI looks a lot less like a driving iron and more just like a long iron. I'll have to see it in person, but I'm all about my hybrids right now anyways.

That topline is square and chunky as all hell. Wow, would not have thought TM would go that route.

The squared off toe is perfect! Topline…a little chunky. If only they would have rounded it, it would have looked a lot better.

Pre-Ordered a set of 4-Pw of these bad boys before any leaks of them. Hit the demo a little while ago and I am in love. People have been hating on the top-line but for me it does not really throw me off. These irons provide me with a ton of confidence at address which for me tends to be 75% of the battle.

I've had the OG P790s in the bag for the last 3.5 years, and I've never yet been tempted to upgrade. I personally think these look amazing, and if I wasn't broke AF, I'd be pre-ordering them already.

I think it is the best looking P790’s… love the way the back looks… similar to the P770’s, which are sexy….

 

Problem is that, the looks of the club will not likely improve my game.

 

Owning the Gen 2 P790s, I doubt I will see any real noticeable performance increase that would warrant the $1,200 investment.

 

If I upgrade, it will be an impulse buy for sure.

I played the previous gen and fell in love with them. I notice a very similar feel that you get with a forged 790 but the 2021's are definitely more juiced. I gained 5 yards on every iron in the bag and I really liked the spin rates I was seeing. I think the 2021 model was a great step forward without ruining why we love the 790.

Initial impression. They made the 790 look like the 770 and it’s a big improvement over the previous 790.

I ordered a 5-GW set solely on reputation of previous generations and the looks of the 2021. End of October delivery they say.
